The room was cosy, clean and very comfortable. Every amenity we could need and more. The telescope is WONDERFUL, and memories of the things observed a real treasure. Our evening meal of a Japanese dinner box was delicious and very pretty. Terrific place and lovely hosts.

This place is incredible! The greatest value for money accomodation I've ever paid for. The rooms are impeccably clean. The hosts are incredibly nice. The observatory is the greatest thing I've ever experienced at any place I've stayed.......so informative and I'm going to get myself a telescope now....no joke! We are already coming back in a few months to see...

We stayed here for the long weekend as convenient access to hike Girraween NP. We have read about the observatory and the cosmos tour offered by Eiji but didn't know what to expect. Our observatory session started at 8.30pm for an hour and we saw Saturn, star clusters and much more. I managed to get some pretty good photos of...

Twinstar Guesthouse is in Ballandean just over the border in Queensland. It easy to find and was recommended to us because of its unique facility of having a large telescope on the grounds that you can look at the universe through each night. Booking was a pleasure because of the warmth of your hosts. The rooms are clean comfortable and...

I was a little worried about this place because the pics on their website make the place look a bit "basic". Truth is IT IS AMAZING. Obviously the NIGHT SKY TOUR is the highlight, but that is not to mean that the accommodation wasn't excellent. We were greeted by Naomi who was informative and efficient and the rooms were clean,...

From the wonderful food prepared by Naomi to the intimate knowledge of the stars and planets by Eiji everything was amazing during our overnight stay. This guesthouse deserves it's 5 star rating. Great value and wonderful people. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Check out the Girraween National Park just a few minutes away.

I researched the entire area around Ballandean before choosing the Twin Stars Guest House/B & B. I chose it mainly because of the observatory. However, it was o'cast on the night we stayed, so we could not see any of the night sky. We arrived after dark as we took the wrong road out of Warwick. Naomi was efficient &...

What a charming guest house. Our room was furnished with loving care and our hosts were so courteous and helpful. I booked this one night stay as a birthday treat for my husband, who is a keen star gazer. The observatory tour was great! Eiji's knowledge of astronomy is so good and he gave us a very enjoyable tour of...

My wife and I have stayed at Twinstar Guesthouse in each January of the last three years. On every occasion, the only thing that has disappointed has been the weather!! The rooms are neat, tidy, clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The evening meals that Naomi prepares are delicious (as are her breakfasts), and Eiji's sky safaris are...
