From the moment we drove down the farm lane and met Sally, we knew we were going to enjoy our stay in the Garden Cottage. The cottage was cosy, very well appointed and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was very well equipped for self catering and the sofa and recliner ideal for relaxing on after a hectic...

Another relaxing visit and well looked after by Sally and Robert. Cottage was comfortable and warm with all amenities. Plenty of places to visit (Alnwick and Rothbury very close). Also very quite this time of year.

Cottage was excellent . . . in a really good location for Alnwick & Cragside , the accommodation was well equipped and has great views of both the farm pastures and the countryside beyond. Sally was friendly and welcoming. . . We would defiantly stay again.

We stayed in the smaller of the two cottages, called Garden Cottage. First impressions were of a comfortable cosy and extremely clean place. Well furnished, warm and easy to relax in after a long half term. The owners, Sally and Robert, are both genuinely friendly and helpful. We decided after two days that we would return! The farm has a...

Lumbylaw cottage is situated on a working farm, but very private from the farm, farmhouse and Garden Cottage. It has wonderful views over open countryside and there is a wealth of birds all around, as well as Roe deer if you're lucky. We found it very comfortable and clean, and well maintained, but more than that, it has a gentle...

Satellite navigation is needed to find it, but in superb location and excellent in every way. We were just two, but accommodation would be good for up to six. Owner, Sally, is the perfect host. We will repeat if we can,

A truly delightful cottage well appointed and situated. We have stayed at this cottage many times over the last twenty years and the welcome from Sally and Robert is as warm now as the first time we stayed. The cottage is situated in the most beautiful countryside, and the lawn viewed from the cottage window is a bird spotters paradise...

This cottage couldn't be better situated. The location combines a rural idyll - panoramic countryside views that include a picturesque ruined castle - with easy accessibility. You're 10 minutes away from Alnwick, there is plenty of hill walking on your doorstep, and fantastic stretches of sandy beaches are less than an hour's drive away. The nly reason the cottage didn't...

We can really recommend a stay at Lumbylaw Cottages, the cottage we stayed in (Garden Cottage ) is very comfortable, well laid out, fantastic views over the countryside, we enjoyed watching all the birds that came to feed from the seed containers set out in the garden, the position of the Cottages is fine for visiting all that Northumberland has...

The cottage was clean and comfortable with everything needed for a holiday, even a duvet with a lower tog rating in case we were too hot! The views from the windows were beautiful. There were cows grazing outside the bedroom and dining area windows. The hosts welcomed us on arrival, showing us around the cottage and answering any questions. We...
