If you're reading this review, chances are that you're a bird watcher! This is THE place to stay to see some of the special birds of the East Usumbaras. This is a place that you would only visit if, like me,my wife and our four friends, you are birders. Though the accommodations were very basic, and the electricity was pretty dodgy and unpredictable, the bed was reasonable the shower was okay and the food preparation was actually very nicely done "home cooking Tanzanian style" by a friendly and helpful...

Stayed for a week. I was impressed with the bedroom and bathroom though don't expect a hot shower. We had a cook who prepared meals for us but had to pay extra for this - it is worth it because you'll need to travel 2hrs on a public bus along rutted dirt tracks to get to the nearest place with...

All Birders will know of the East Usumbaras and the Amani area that acts as a magnet for those who seek the special little brown jobs. However it is more than LBJs.
