I stayed in Garden villa with my 2-children family. We was very happy for the nice and beautiful scene surrounding my villa. There are small waterfall next by the house. Staff treated us very warmly and friendly. The morning buffet was delicious with more variety food.
This hotel was about half the price of other luxury hotels and so you might think the quality would be lower but really, our stay was really good. The views from our balcony were really beautiful. The room was great. They did a great job landscaping and so there is a nice walk around the grounds with a stream and lots of greenery. There is a nice indoor play area for toddlers and a big lawn with hay bales. There is a rooftop restaurant with incredible views all around. The staff were helpful and friendly. Even the pool was nice though there is no staff around to order food or drinks, meaning you have to hike to the lobby to order something. That kind of leads to the drawbacks. If you have a stroller or you are in a wheelchair or elderly, you will be doing a lot of walking of stairs because I don't believe there is an elevator from the ground floor and reception is two floors up. There is no signage either when you drive in of where reception is. There is no fitness but I knew that going in and I guess that is part of the reason for a cheaper price. But really, would it hurt to throw a bench press and some dumbbells in a room? For jogging, you have to go down the road and turn left away from the highway towards the temple and not much traffic on that road though the temple dogs aren't so friendly. But though my wife loved the ample and varied Thai breakfast, my big negative was the lack of a western breakfast. Yes, they had eggs and bacon, that was good but no waffles and no pancakes. First hotel I have ever stayed in without pancakes and waffles. Just two choices of cereal: Corn flakes and some chocolate flakes...so really...no cereal. Only whole milk, no choice of milk. Only high sugar yogurt, no Greek yogurt. No oatmeal. The most amazing thing was the lack of fruit. I mean it's Thailand...the country of like 1000 fruits and every market in Khao Yai is brimming with fruit and every day it was cantaloupe and watermelon...for 5 days straight! Like you can't go buy a few bananas or grapes and chuck them on the buffet? No blender to mix up a smoothie? No dried fruit. Only the cheap brand of jam and two flavors. Ok, it's breakfast, just eat it and move on, but breakfast is an important inclusion of the price you are paying and though the Thai breakfast was fantastic (my wife raved about it) the western breakfast was just...non existent. Geez...put a little effort into it. I guess I was the only westerner there though during our stay so I can see why it's not a priority. :) Overall, fantastic hotel and even though I would give it 4 stars because of the lack of fitness and breakfast, I will give it 5 because I really hope for these local hotels competing against the big chains. Plus the price is good, the staff were really friendly, the views are awesome and the grounds are really well done.…
Bedroom space is quite big, but better have sofa. Majority of staffs are very friendly and care, very impressive. View point is on the top of the building. Nice swimming pool taking view of mountain. However, we arrived late at night around 8pm, sign post of the hotel is very bad. I could not see any sign to tell me where is drop-off and where is hotel lobby. No reception staff only head of machanical staff who explain non sense direction. We visited with elderly, rhey have to climb up the stairs to reception. Breakfast is really good.
Stayed for 2 nights in Vivace Khaoyai Resort, whilst vacationing with my family in Khao Yai. Liked its location the best - it is surrounded amidst forests, mountains and greenery, with the Khao Yai National Park within sight. Lovely to wake up - and return - to lush greenery every day. The resort has a viewing point that allows you to get a good view of sunrises and sunsets. Other highlights: - Resort was big, rooms were spacious and have balconies - Friendly hotel and housekeeping staff who attended to your needs - Good buffet breakfast on Sunday morning - ala-carte breakfast was served every other day - Restful and relaxing experience, being located amidst greenery
Obviously a new, quite luxurious resort targetes at locals, weekend visitors, big events, off sites... Very abandoned during weekdays. On weekend an awesome buffet breakfast, other days a private one just for the few guests. A lot of staff trying to be super polite and attentive that it gets a bit uncomfortable. They speak very little english so we needed to use Google translate and hope for the best even for basic things (ordering a food in a restaurant, a scheduled taxi...).
A great place but you only get a beautiful room, use of pool, wifi in common areas, and b'fast. You need a car because nothing is walking distance. The menu in restaurant is very limited so we went out. Noone speaks English. We ran out of toilet paper and even when we showed photos of what we needed, we never got it. We wanted to get out of Bangkok, AWAY FROM noise - that is why we chose National Park area - with nature - but restaurant played VERY VERY LOUD music until way past 2AM keeping us awake - this was AWFUL. I went there to relax and not hear noise. VIVACE SEEMS like it would be a quiet, relaxing, peaceful place which is is only part of the time. I think owners of VIVACE have to decide if it wants to be a quiet, peaceful resort OR a "party" place. I feel like it can't decide what it wants to be. I would go again if I knew I could sleep at night. I think VIVACE should market themselves as that - and even have YOGA and Spa for RELAXING and NO PARTY MUSIC at night - I think people from Bangkok would LOVE IT …
Just spent two nights at Vivace. Loved everything about the place. Tons of instagram-able settings among the nicely landscaped paths and water features. We had the resort almost to ourselves, including the lovely pool. The room was spacious and the bathroom was top-notch. We didn’t try the restaurant but the included breakfast was good. The chef even sent out salmon and salad.
The people are very friendly in the hotel and the rooms are sort of nice but they didn’t tell us anything about the party they had for two days with loud techno music and we could not sleep. We asked the reception and said there was nothing they could do and this is unacceptable as we come to Khoo Yai for the peace and nature and now I have to hear more noice that in Bangkok
