Where Bruce Lee & film crew stayed whilst filming The Big Boss in 1971. Film locations also close bye. Although old hotel, the grounds & rooms are large and modern. Located next to the main road and easily accessible, yet the rear of the hotel grounds are next to a river where you can dine and have breakfast peacefully. Feels like you are out in the country. Staff are very helpful and can tell you where the film locations are. The scene where Bruce lee has dinner is also within the hotel. Just around the corner is a lovely restaurant museum where you can dine next to the river and also explore all the fascinating vintage items. Very large and worth a visit just to look around all the fascinating items from vintage buses & scooters to toys & games.
Fair, large rooms, for a reasonable price, hotel has a swimming pool in the backyard. Helpful staff. They were so kind to let me shower and have a swim, even I had checked out in the day before, when I came down from the Khao Yai national park to pick up my luggage.
We have booked this hotel cos of the location, near to Pak Chong night market, within walking distance. We reached the hotel quite late and check in process is very fast, the lift is very small even for the 2 of us with luggage and backpack. The hotel exterior is average but the interior is quite old and need some refurbishment. The hotel is still using key and there is not a need to slot in any key card to open the electricity. Although is old, overall the place is still clean and came with everything basic like water heater, wifi, refrigerator, cabinet etc. The internet signage for our phone is not very strong so we got to connect to the hotel wifi instead. The bed is quite hard but we are very tired due to the activities and journey from Bangkok, thus we are able to goes to sleep very easily, aircon is cold and good although the unit is old model, water pressure is a bit low though. The breakfast place is a restaurant that is located beside a small river stream, very serene. Over the 2 days there I have tried the american breakfast and fried rice, the fried rice is good and tasty while the american breakfast only consist of fried egg and 2 sausages. There is a small corner to get some bread, salad and fruit. Very simple breakfast. If you are not choosy and only need a place to sleep this hotel is fine.…
Stayed at the Rim Tarn Inn as a base for Khao Yai National Park. The hotel is good, clean, with a nice restaurant by the river and a pool. It is walking distance from the train station and night markets. The hotel can also organise a guide/ driver for the national park (good as a driver, not so good tour guide - left cigarette butts through hiking trial and could barely keep up). All in all. Nice stay. Cheaper than other overpriced places in the area.
A nice little hotel in pak Chong. If you need one night or two and don't need anything fancy this is your place. Reasonably priced for what you get. The beds are pretty hard but fortunately we like that. Water pressure in shower is low. Great air conditioner. Great staff. And very clean!
Seeing my partners family in Pak Chong. The price of the hotel was £23 a night. All facilities wi-fi etc. Breakfast was included with this. The restaurant area overlooked the river as you can see from photo. Car parking on the premises.
Large corner rooms , nice interior between floors, is aged but clean in hotel and rooms. Good wifi, friendly staff Nice breakfast included with room Restaurant could use some cleaning up, a good wash of walls and ceiling otherwise is good and had no issue with quality of food Easy location, has a car park A couple of restaurants across the road, one is Thai other one is spaghetti, pizza, etc. Good roads from there to Koh Yai park about 30 minute drive Would use again
I've stayed here 3 times. I came back because I like the campy feel. This time they have renovated, so the floor is new and beautiful, there's a new TV and the bathroom is more modern, which is a big plus, but they unfortunately took down some of the camp style artwork from the halls. The restaurant is better than before and they are now revamping a coffee shop in front. The corner rooms are spacious and good value. The main downside is that they don't seem to clean the pool much. It is a cute, small pool that is still usable if you don't mind a few leaves, feathers etc
Stay for two nights with my family,, there is pros and cons Pro: room is ok, place is good with river view in veranda. Cons: staff is not welcoming, they don know how to speak english so hard to communicate. Shower heater is not hot, and shower head is too bad, the water splash at diff places, so when u took bath is very hard as it flashing to your body. Night guy is not approachable, No hairdryer. i not coming back to this place again, There are lots of hotel near pak chong that much better.
I stayed here one night after visiting Khao Yai National Park. Walked in and paid 1000 baht which included breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean, the wifi worked fairly well and the staff was very friendly. Close to the railway station as well.
