I don't dislike retrofittings at a retro price. There were very few guests in a 66 room hotel. The staff were friendly and helpfull, but we couldn't get the price down below 1800 baht per room for 2 rooms, which in my view wasn't good value for money.The view is OK, but if you're on the way to Khao Yai, you have another 400 baht to stump up for the farang unfriendly admittance fee There was a cockroach moment when a very large member of the family scuttled up the wall and behind the wooden rail at the top, on request the staff were up in flash. One of them poked around with a bit of cardboard, but the cockroach was probably well away with the rest of the family. Anyway another room was offered and after first checking for likely cockroach escape routes was accepted If I am to visit Pak Chong again, I would probably stay at the multi story Hotel, near the market on the main road Their Thai food in the riverside restaurant is excellent and given that the furnishings in the hotel are similarly tired, but it has WiFi in room and is 8-900Bt, say no more!!…
