I spent almost 10k a night in a pool villa mountain view. It was horrible. First of all, my villa was not ready. The staff called me before I arrived. Fine, probably they wanted to know what time I would be there approximately. After checking in, I found there were leaves in my private pool. Some were sunk at the bottom, some were still floating. That was the first disappointment. Secondly, the path way to the room is very dark. The walk way to the room is big rocks on a soil. And the I have to enter my room from behind the villa. This can be dangerous because the walk way is not straight. It is curvy towards the fence. And if you do not walk properly you can slip over a wet soil if it rains. Moreover, I asked for the iron and iron board on the last day. The hotel said it is not available. Neither the ironing nor the laundry service. They added that the iron they have is not in a good condition. So, they decided not to give it because it might ruin the customer's dress. Additionally, when I was going to check out. I approached the from desk. No one was there. Then, the staff came around 5 minutes later. She said "I am sorry. I am having lunch" Is it my fault that I checked out during her lunch time? Besides, It is mentioned clearly that the time to check out is 12pm. Then, how come no one was there during that time. Here comes the questions. 1. Why does the villa not ready? You already made a call and check what time I would be there. Then, why there are still leaves in side the pool? The sank leaves in the pool. How long do they have to be there to be at bottom of the pool? 2. If the iron is not in a good condition, why don't get a new one? 3. Why is not there a person by the front desk at a time of the check in and out? It was truly disappointing and I did not enjoy my stay at all.…
The resort also made it effortless for us to come and go. Anytime they noticed we would be leaving the premises they ordered us a ride to take us to and from. They also suggested and recommended different sights to see or different restaurants we should visit. At the end of our visit, a few staff members bid their farewells and loaded our luggage and made sure we left with smiles on our faces. I felt that every single member of the staff genuinely wanted the best for us and made us feel so warm and taken care of. I can't speak for the other resorts on the island, but if I were to come back I would not dare go anywhere else. Boribot felt like home and made for the best trip imaginable from the service, accommodations, and cleanliness. This place is a true gem and I'm so grateful I had booked with them…
A very large nice resort in khaoyai city focusing on private pool villa Within this resort, you will like your are in mountain filled with green, calm, quietness and with nature. We took forest pool villa room The pool is very nice Large room with seating area Big toilet Good service Amazing resort
Overrated and overpriced, the 2 words that sums it all. Read on and the details will reveal. We were in the Boribot Forest Pool Villa going at the very rare promotional rate of abouts USD 130 this season. Room was exceptionally large no doubt, air conditioning was working well to battle the tropical heat. Toilet was a cordon off area but was lacking was a bathtub. The outdoor area was vast, but other than the small plunge pool tastily imbued with a fountain and a swing, there was nothing else. There was no view at all, but that meant ultimate privacy for one that seeks. So, the stay will be ultimately suitable for couple activities all day long since there is nothing else to do. It is not at all for a workcation due to a lack of in-room amenities (more about this later), and not so much suitable for family with children. Viewing the resort from Google Maps, you can see about 8 units in Boribot. So, the upside is this place gives exclusive vibes. There will not be a crowd. Above the restaurant, there is the Boribot Panoramic Suite. There will be no pool, but they do have a jacuzzi. The view is supposed to be better, but cables crisscrossed the narrow panorama to big mountain beyond. Next to the restaurant and adjoining the main infinity pool is the Biorobot House with Pool Access. That offered no privacy to the residence as I could watch their occupants out early in their pajamas on their front porch, and them pool playing during the afternoon in full view from the restaurant and lobby area. All these units were going for the same price. With 30 USD or more, will be the Boribot Mountain View Villa, claiming to have a good view to the mountain. And then there is the Boribot Mountain View Signature Villa with Private Pool at twice the price, with a larger pool and with a view. We were given a room near to the main road. This road that leads to Wang Nam Kaew is popular with droning big bikes, vroom of sports car and loud lorries. What peace? None. Road noise starts 430 am in the morning. I got a feeling promo means we were given the not so desirable rooms. So, not being able to sleep since 430 am, I headed to their common restaurant to do some work. As to why not just work in the room? Well, back in our room, the Internet access was terrible. I had issues downloading, my child could not do her Zoom online classes, wife had issues accessing office applications and my Teams meetings failed. We had to resort to moving all our computer related staffs to the restaurant whenever it was time for work or meetings. Getting a good Speedtest result does not mean streaming works well. Complaining to the reception did not help. If Biorobot ever comes up with a stay-and-work package, I will be the first to leave bad comments, lots of it. In addition to bad internet access, the rooms are not catered for a workcation. Other than bed, which was large and lush really, they had a low table and sofa which is not made for prolong computer work. The wall table with built in vanity compartment, that is more for deco then to serve any meaningful purpose. Outside, there are 2 tiny wooden garden chairs and a table, they were meant more for having a tiny tea session or to hang your swimwear out to dry. For 2 days, I was up early to do some work at the restaurant. It opened at 7 am so I was there alone as the sun rose. The staffs do need some extra hospitality training. As they open shop, never once did they approached me and asked if I needed a coffee, water, or food to start my day till I asked. The tables were dirty from dust and lizard droppings, never once did they offered to wipe them clean until I requested. Breakfast here is limited to about 4 or 5 main items one could choose from. I have to say their food was excellent. One morning I had the ribs, and the next I had the burger. They were one of the best I ever had in my many travels to Khao Yai. However, the killjoy was that each guest is limited to order only one dish. This was unlike elsewhere where breakfast is ala carte buffet, and young kids eats free since they eat so little. We had to pay extra for the portion of pancakes we ordered for our child here. Oh come on Boribot.. . . Once you have been to a few places of this sort, you tend to feel it is a lackluster here. I had read from reviews some paid as high as 300 USD per night and that is way too high. Boribot is synonymous with luxury, but in room we had sachets of instant Nescafe. In my brutal opinion, their promo price should be their standard rate considering the limited amenities in room, the small public areas with lack of common facilities, the breakfast policy, my next to noisy street room and the environment Boribot is encased in. On this round of a workcation escape, I had also stayed in another similar pool resort (it starts with M.. . ) in this same sector of Khao Yai. A quick apple-to-apple normal rate check shows that M is about 35% cheaper then Boribot, but what I got there was 20 times better in every way.…
Stay Boribot with family...During rainy season atmosphere green and refteshing. Sunday morning we made a marit after that we enjoy fish feeding. We book picnic during stay so happy with resort activity recommend picnic you can choose picnic in villa or or in the garden. I miss there^-^
Boribot is one of the best private pool villa in Khaoyai, just 2 and a half hours drive from Bangkok. The atmosphere is very nice and fresh especially in the morning. All staffs here, on hand to service and pay attention in every details. Highly recommend!
Nice atmosphere and good service from all staffs. Enjoy my dinner there. Feel relax while walkig around the property. There is also a pond that you can feed fishes. Recommend dessert at the restaurant.
If you are looking for the serene place to stay, here’s the place that you can spend most of the time in the villa. There’s the space with small pool. There’s no gym and no activity in the hotel. Only 1 drawback is because the hotel is close to the road, there’s the noice from car / motorbike at night.
The room is not as clean, smell of the toilet after flashing was sooo bad. Breakfast are only 4 choices every morning. There r no bell boys to help in carrying the luggages. Waiters and waitress are only 5 or 6 for the whole hotel. Absolutely not worthy for the money that spend($600 per night)
On the whole, we enjoyed our 3-night stay, almost feeling like we were in our private resort, but would caution those expecting high standards, comparable with high room rate. Our room rate was probably lower due to a local friend making booking for 2 suites. Pros: large suite on upper floor with view of pool and distant mountains, pool suite by the main pool has similar view (we changed room after 2 nights), privacy (hardly see anyone during our stay), staff eager to serve. Cons: some pool suites are fenced in with no view, most staff cannot understand English, electrical wires across pool, visible water pump at poolside, poolside Jacuzzi dirty and not working, no F&B service after 9pm, room amenities lacking (eg no hand soap), constant traffic noise that starts from early in the morning...In summary, a charming local boutique resort, with nicely designed architecture, but lacking in luxury for the price charged.…
