This is a exellent resort next to the sea with one big floor the climb to the rooms is like climbing ben nevis ,The hotel is partially built faze 1 was built the furthest away from reception gaze 2 next to reception 🤔it is a steep clime up the road to get to the hotel entrance then lots of steps no matter what floor you are on . But the rooms are beautiful, clean and quite the staff are so helpful The beach and restaurant, bar are stunning and again the staff at the restaurant are so polite and friendly The town is a 15 minute walk down the beach so well located

Stayed at Avatara Resort Hotel from 8 to 10 December 2021. We booked a Triple Room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable beds. Layout of the bathroom was awesome with full view of the jungle. Location is not bad just a walking distance to the Sai Kaew beach which was lively and vibrant at night, with many restaurants nearby. Unfortunately this multistory building has no lift or escalators and a long walk from the lobby and beach. Our room was on the 5th floor and climbing up those many stairs is a big problem especially for those with disabilities or older age. Path and corridors along the building are poorly lit. Breakfast by the beach is very popular with guests but service is poor. On our second day, my son found out that the fresh cold milk he had with cornflakes has gone bad. Brought to the attention of the staff who was quite reluctant and no apologies, Restaurant staff should have pay more attention to the quality of food served. Poor and unfriendly staff; no smile, no greetings and treated guests as if we are a liability to them. The staff was busy playing with their mobile phones and chatting with their colleagues rather than paying attention to the hotel guests. We need to approach them every time we needed to order and foods service are poor. Serviette and tissue paper are not provided with the food, have to asked for them.

We spent 3 nights here and had a great time. The resort is just a short walk along the beach to the main town area and other beach bars. The rooms are a great size, nice and clean & the staff here were all very nice and helpful. The resort has a nice beachfront bar/restaurant with good meals at a really great price. Had a nice time here and would chose to stay here again.

The hotel's(!) staff is helpful an friendly, the rooms are nice, modern and clean. The hotel's(!) staff is always hard at work to keep everything in a good shape, too. It's a small hike to the rooms but it really pays off since there's some real jungle feeling about the hotel's location and architecture. What really spoils the stay however, is the hotel's restaurant. Every single problem we had started right there. I'm fluent in english and my friend is a native thai so you'd think you wouldn't have any problems ordering something. Overall, the food quality was really good so we kept coming back. But it kept getting worse to the point when we wouldn't bother anymore. The problems revolved around food served "thai spicy" instead of "not spicy", getting food we didn't order and one time they forgot about our order completely. Also, we had to object to the bill every single time because we had things on it that we didn't order. The restaurant staff provide their customers with a certain "deal with it" attitude. The restaurant had the least problems during breakfast, which was included. However, I noticed the same waiter spitting his snot in the sand right in front of the guests on three different occasions. Honestly, I don't care if the restaurant has a different name. If you want your included breakfast, then you have to go there and if you cannot extend the hotel's standards to the restaurant, then I refuse to give 5 stars either.
