Hygiene alert: BED BUGS. Our family stayed in this hotel in early July 2020 for 4 nights. Our fourth stay here. Understandably, the breakfast was not what it used to be because of the covid situation in Thailand (few customers meaning worse service). But we got bitten by bed buds or fleas, especially me but also my kids. Very itchy and unpleasant as you can imagine. The staff changed my bed sheet but it did not help. OK, they did not deliberately plant them in my bed but it is not the product i was paying for either. My wife wrote a comment in the hotel form, I sent an email: NO COMMUNICATION. A situation that can be solved but this hotel is probably happy as the covid thing must be just a minor hiccup. Good for them. Problems can happen and I would not make a big deal out of it but the total lack of communication is something you should consider when booking. Look elsewhere too. (BTW, Avatara resort is in the same group).

The hotel is really good and everything we expected. The rooms are spacious and very nice and are cleaned every day. The pool is small but really beautiful, the whole hotel was built in traditional Thai style and is very clean. The beach is just a few steps away and so are the best beach restaurant on Samed (at the Samed Villa hotel) and Silversand bar for late night cocktails. Breakfast was a bit poor. The downside was the beach itself- with high tide hardly any place to lay down, had to rent beach chairs and a rough sea with high waves. The better alternative was to go to Ao Prao for the day, the beach there was amazing, no waves at all and saw the best sunsets there. With the songtiew just 5 minutes away, with a scooter even faster. The resort is quiet and even though almost on the beach, still secluded so the nightrest is assured. Will definitely stay again, because it was more than worth the relative low price (compared to the Ao Prao resorts).

As staying in thailand from last 7 years I know personally what the meaning of “Thai Hospitality”, but first time I feel in a hotel that staff actually forget about this point. From welcome is the worse experience we had in hotel and of course if your welcome not ok then nothing is ok. Nobody come to help us for luggage, no welcome drink or water offer, no proper details about deposit and so on. Rooms are beautiful and pool is amazing for kids no doubt on this. For this point we very happy to choose this property. Overall I say that management need a refresh training for team. No matter guest is local or foreigner or Asian or what but you need to treat everyone at same level.

Breakfäst fight for chairs to sit.Constantly running out of food. Swimming pool tiny and few loungërs. If important to you then dont go. Nice rooms good location . Nearby hotels seem better value than here.nice beach just outside and a better one at tub tim a short walk across the rocks. In my opinion there are better places.
