We spend here 3nights, farmhouse is placed in Vorderlanersbach on really quiet location. We had spacious and very nice room. House is few minutes by car to the glacier. Next to house you can start your trips by foot in georgeous nature. I can highly recommend this accommodation for everybody.

Tolle, kleine Pension. Insgesamt stehen 5 geräumige Zimmer zur Verfügung. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und alles ist in einem Tip Top Zustand. Es wird alles täglich sehr gründlich geputzt und das sieht man auch. Ich habe selbst in deutlich teureren Hotels selten so gepflegte Zimmer gesehen. Die Lage ist super. Etwas oberhalb am Hang gelegen ist man abseits vom Straßenlärm der gerade in der Wintersaisong auftreten kann. Dennoch ist das Zentrum der beschaulichen Ortschaft Vorder Lanersbach auch bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Dort finden sich Restaurants sowie ein kleiner Supermarkt. Frühstück ist reichlich und mit refionalen Produkten, Parkplätze sin ausreichend vorhanden ( überdacht) und die Gastgeber sind super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich will auf Kern Fall wieder kommen :-) …

Wir waren im Februar mit 10 Personen im Tuxerschafer. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von der Chefin empfangen und durften uns die Zimmer weitgehend selbst aussuchen. Wir haben zum gleichen Preis sogar ein Zimmer mehr bekommen als gebucht (wir waren vermutlich die einzigen Gäste zu der Zeit) Die Zimmer und Bäder waren sehr sauber und in einem einwandfreien Zustand und wurden jeden Tag geputzt. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker. Es gab genügend von allem und auf Sonderwünsche wurde problemlos eingegangen. Es gibt eigene Parkplätze beim Haus und der Fußweg in den Ortskern und zur Rastkogelbahn dauert nicht länger als 10 Minuten. Da es direkt an der Gondel ein Skidepot gibt, ist der Fußweg auch mit Skiausrüstung kein Problem. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt im Tuxerschafer und können die Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen.…

Schöne und saubere Pension. Große Zimmer mit ordentlichem Bad. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Freundlichkeit der Gastgeber. Sehr gute Lage mit Blick über das Tal. Überdachte Garage unter den Zimmern was sehr praktisch ist. Wir kommen wieder.

If you are looking for a genuine private Austrian guesthouse to stay at – away from the hustle and bustle of the major tourist areas, yet close enough not to miss out of anything – look no further! Then you will be happy at Landhaus Tuxerschafer, such as we were. We are pleased to give Landhaus Tuxenschafer our warmest recommendations. Landhaus Tuxerschafer is situated in the green countryside above the village of Vorderlahnersbach yet only some 12 km West of the popular holiday resort Mayrhofen in the valley of Zillertal/Tuxertal. Surrounded by green meadows dotted with Tyrolian style houses and a leisurely 10 min. stroll from the center of the village only, this lovely setting allows for tranquility and amazing mountain vistas while being just short drives away from all the major tourist attractions and popular larger towns. But you need not leave the area, as you will find several restaurants, shops and a couple of lifts within easy walking distance. The pick-up/drop-off stop for the free shuttlebus running between Finkenberg (Mayrhofen) and Hintertux is likewise situated right in the center of the small village. Landhaus Tuxerschafer is a working sheep farm consisting of two Tyrolian style houses with flowerclad wooden balconies in each of which respectively the owner and the son and their families live. We stayed in the newest house which did likewise count some 4-5 holiday rooms for rental. Each room with ensuite private bath/toilet and own balcony. The rooms are well and nicely furnished with typical wooden beds and patterned curtains. Most of the rooms face towards South while a larger tree-bedded room has a huge East facing balcony next to the forest. OBS: Albeit the rooms generally are South facing you will have a partial valley/sunset view from same only due to the closely placed next door house – but you are always secured a breathtaking valley view from the communal garden terrace. We stayed in the tree-bedded room which was very large and did likewise include a tiny private hall for placing of your dirty boots and wet clothing. Further, a lovely breakfast room with adjacent terrace overlooking the green meadows and the valley is at the guests’ disposal throughout the day allowing for socializing. The garden chairs and sun loungers on the terrace invites to relaxing hours in the green and lovely sunsets! Breakfast is included in the room price and is a very nice extended Continental one including boiled egg, juice, assorted cold cuts, cheeses, jams and various breads. One of the assets of staying at a private Austrian guesthouse is the warm and personal welcome you are met with. The owner is a very lovely and accommodating lady who was more than happy to give us good pieces of advice as to nearby restaurants, entertainment, hikes and excursions and was around each morning to make sure that each guest was happy and content. Zillertal/Tuxertal are one of the most beautiful valleys as to mountain sceneries and is likewise one of the most lively ones when it comes to activities during the summer months. And with the nearby holiday towns of Zell am Ziller, Hintertux and Mayrhofen you are guaranteed good shopping and dining facilities as well as numerous gondolas and lifts to bring you to the mountain tops and lovely hikes. NOT TO BE MISSED: Live traditional Austrian music and local food at the 400 year old farm house: Restaurant Kaser Mandl in Vorderlahnerbach. A definitely “must”! Zillertaler Höhenstrasse. A drive at the altitude of some 2000 m above the sea through lush meadows and rocked terrains along the mountain edges way above Zillertal offering stunning views! The Ahorn Gondola with easy 15 min. stroll to the 200 year old Filzenalm mountain hut/Jausenstation offering simple lunch plates with homemade cheeses and meats surrounded by nosy goats and with stunning views of mountains, valleys and lakes as a backdrop. (Skip the topstation tourist restaurants and enjoy something genuine – you won’t regret). Views from the gondola are likewise breathtaking. The Hintertux Gletcher lifts and hikes. The only yearround ski-area in Austria offering summer ski-ing. Lovely downhill hikes from the Sommerberg station in summer. Reachable by free shuttlebus service.…
