Great hotel with rooftop adults only area. Warm colours, cozy atmosphere, modern lifestyle but still authentic place. Good food, best quality and really nice family. Gym and spa is outstanding, a lot offers & program for free and for everybody. Will definitely come back.
Family run -good value for money- clean - with a friendly atmosphere with good food in generous quantities after a long day skiing on the glacier which provides a surprising variety of different pistes for a glacier.
This is our 15th year at this exceptional Hotel with it's beautiful rooms and facilities The staff are a real bonus and nothing is too much trouble The varied menu in the evening is first class and there is a huge choice for breakfast to start you off on a good footing for a day's skiing The glacier is only 10 minutes away and the skiing there in November is incredible. Well done once again everyone
A great stay! Pretty good location, a bit too far from the gondolas, but the shuttlebus departs frequent to the skiresort. Good to excellent food, and nice staff! Big parking lot outside as well as in-house parking.
Stayed in this beautifull hotel 22/25.07. Very nice location with a nice view from the balcony over the mountains. The staff is really friendly and received a free room upgrade. The sauna spa is good and the breakfast is nice! Will come back for skiing next time.
What does €510 buy you nowadays? In the case of this hotel you get 5 nights half board with a 4 day ski pass thrown in for a few days of mid-December enjoyment on Zillertal's excellent slopes. As other reviewers have noted the hotel is spotless and my recently refurbished single room was very spacious. The public areas are all very pleasant. Food was good. The breakfast buffet was copious and the 5 course dinner was varied. Mild criticism that I found that chef had a rather heavy hand with the salt cellar but have in the back of my mind that eating at altitude can accentuate the taste of salt. An old wives' tale? The hotel is well set up for skiers with a good boot room and easy access to the Rastkogel gondola (less than 2 minutes drive). The glacier at Tux is an easy ten minute drive. I certainly plan to return in 2016.…
Everything is what one would suspect from this kind hotel. Very clean rooms, friendly staff, very nice breakfasts and dinner worthy of this kind of hotel. Skibus stops in front of hotel. Only one negative point, there is no free wifi. I would recommend this hotel to friends.
Visited the hotel with family in febuary and with friends in november and there is literally nothibg bad i can say about it. The rooms are great, the food is superb, the welness is great, the bus to the glacier stops right in front of the hotel, the staff is friendly .... I'll deffinately return!
This is our twelth year at this fantastic Hotel run by the Tippotsch family. The quality of accommodation and hospitality is second to none and the food is of a very high standard. We recommend booking a suite well worth the extra The week we book includes 6 days Skiing on the Hintertux Glacier
The hotel is on the Zillertal (Ziller valley) which is a great ski area. Not only that the mountains around are great, but the valley ends with the Hintertux glacier, which is a) a great place for skiing and b) a very good insurance if there isn't enough snow on the mountains around the valley. The ski pass covers the entire valley + glacier and includes the bus fare. The hotel has very nice and comfortable rooms decorated in a very elegant style. As always in the Austrian hotels, everything is VERY clean with a GREAT breakfast, and for Tiroler Hof this is especially true, with a wide selection of cereals, breads, meats and cheese, fruits and juices, plus an omelet / pancake station. Dinner is also very nice, gourmet style, if a bit too fancy for my taste. Staff is very friendly and helpful. However, if you go mainly for skiing, the hotel is NOT within walking distance of a ski lift. This means that you either have a car, or you rely on the bus service (which is very good). The bus stops in either directions (up / down the valley) are pretty close (the one down valley is just across the street, the one up the valley to the glacier is about 200m up the road). If you go to the Rastkogelbahn lift (1 stop down the valley) the bus is a very good option, as parking around the ski lift is problematic. If you want to go to the glacier, the bus ride is about 20 min, but the bus can get VERY crowded, especially on the way back, and if you're going with kids, you're better of going by car. So there are definitely better locations if you're an avid skier. Also the dinner was way too fancy for my taste and took very long, which is ok if you enjoy spending 2 hrs around the dinner table, but if you're like me and just want to eat something decent and be done with it, and then spend the rest of the evening doing something else, you may find the whole experience very boring. My kids got pretty restless during this whole elaborate dinner process - so they left for the kids room (which is not great, but ok) at the lower floor and we called them back to the table when the next dish was served. Bottom line is that if you are there mainly for skiing, you have better / cheaper options, but if skiing is not your main thing and instead appreciate a sophisticated (and long) dinner, Tiroler Hof is a very good option.…
