We spent 3 nights here in one of the deluxe double rooms as we were over for a friends wedding at a different chateau.. And what a room it was !!! We had a lovely large airy room with giant ceilings .. a bath overlooking the vineyard, a lovely walk in shower. We didn't want to leave! The owner is really lovely, even with her very limited english and our very limited french we were able to communicate. The breakfast was laid out every morning for us, and there was a lot of variety. We loved how it had its own little kitchen that we could use to make lunches or have a coffee in the afternoon. If we are ever in the area we will stay again. If you book this place, i promise you won't be disappointed !!!!! There are great cafes and restaurants in driving distance, we also found it very easy to get around using Taxi's (which we were surprised about as we thought we were quite remote!)

We located this excellent Chateau a little by chance as we were forced to drive to Spain via France due to the problems with a Brittany Ferries ship. Very much a last minute thing. Well, we were certainly fortunate. Set in a very pleasant area and in its own vineyard, this atmospheric building was a real treat. The owners, the rooms, the breakfast were all excellent and we would certainly make this first choice if in the region again. Cannot rate it too highly.

I visited the Chateau Fauchey during a wine tasting tour at the area of Bordeaux. The chateau is renovated in a stylish, modern way. The breakfast was very good. The owner was very well coming and she suggested a very good restaurant as well. Our experience was great. If I will be again in the area I will stay again.

Have just spent a night here on the way back to Bordeaux Airport - would like to have stayed longer in this interesting Chateau high up above vineyards and the Garonne. The owners were very friendly and we managed to communicate with our limited French. They have done a wonderful job restoring the ground floor where they live and the first floor with its three guest rooms, in the six years they have owned the Chateau having moved from outside Paris. Monsieur manages the vineyard, producing award winning red wine, and rose, and Madame runs the B & Bs. The bedrooms are delightful - plenty of space, very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms and a lovely diningroom/ kitchen where one can prepare and eat a meal, if you bring your provisions, and the very good breakfast is served (cereals, pastries, juices, yoghourts with fruit purees, toast, fresh fruit - plenty of it all). The Chateau is a little isolated, but benefits from the lovely views. We would certainly return if we are in the area again.
