We booked in this hotel a double room for 1 night, 6 weeks in advance via the Logisbooking service. We got the confirmation fo 1 room "Grand Confort". When we arrived there was a problem. Never book via the Logis booking service, only book directly in the hotel via the Logis reference book said the owner. We got a tiny...

We turned up to this restaurant without means to French-English translate. We had no idea what we were ordering and the poor waiter struggled to translate. The food we chose was absolutely amazing. We've never had such fantastic food.... And so beautifully presented. You're missing a gastronomic treat if you don't pay this restaurant a visit.

Logis de France hotels are generally welcoming in a genuine and unforced manner. The proprietress of this went way above expectations, I witnessed the care she gave to a guest who experienced a tragic car accident and the help she and her husband provided. This was indicative of the attitude to the hotel guests. The rooms were comfortable although unremarkable....

It was late after a long day when we pulled into the Les Trois Rois hotel. 91 euros for the room which was very small, 91 euros being high season rate said the man. High season must start early in this town as it was only the 17th of April. We had twin beds pushed hard together to fit two...

We were travelling from Balleroy to Falaise on a Sunday and realised we might struggle to find somewhere to eat. As we pulled into Villers Bocage Les Trois Rois was right opposite. I cannot praise the food enough! We ate in a large dining room with crisp linen tablecloths. The service was wonderful and the little 'extras' were a delight....

We discovered the Trois Rois by luck when tired of driving... The logo of Logis de France was instrumental in our choice. Comfortable room and bathroom en suite, three price options. The restaurant lhad an oldfashioned look and the menu seemed a bit complcated and expensive, but eventually we enjoyed our meal greatly. The service was absolutely perfect. In the...

The three of us dropped in here much by accident; we had gone to a recommended place that turned out to be closed. So we had our misgivings. And the menu looked a bit pricey. But all three of us ordered "oysters cooked three ways". And were thoroughly happy. The amuse bouche was fascinating -- a foam of what turned...

We stopped here for dinner on the 28th May, prior to traveling on the night ferry to Portsmouth. Villers-Bocages is a convenient place to stop. This is our second such visit. The staff are a little stuffy and ask the usual stupid question 'have you reserved a table ?' when there are obviously plenty of available places in the dining...

Dissapointing. We went there for lunch. The old fashioned but clean classic interior gives the impression that this was once a fine restaurant, but today we were treated to a poor performance indeed. In short: friendly staff, mediocre yet expensive food.

The room was expensive -- and for that price one would expect more space than just enough room around a double bed to get dressed; a little air conditioning on a hot day (because opening the window attracts noise from the road and the kitchen fan); a room that did not smell of stale smoke; and enough silence to spend...
