Before you book, read the FINE PRINT. Out of scores of hotels booked in Europe this is the first one that charged me for a cancellation 5 days before the scheduled arrival date. My wife had suffered a burst appendix and was rushed to hospital for an operation. Two days later while she was still in hospital I got around...

If you are not German, look for another place!!!!!! The hotel is ok, but they prefer German people. I was there with my family and I feel like a second class people. It was a pity because the place is very nice.

A really nice and lovely area of Germany to visit but the hotel staff were very rude with us. Breakfast was ok but that did not offset the abovementioned. Next time we visit the area we will look for another hotel instead of this one

Unfriendly staff for non german guests. English no spoken. Rooms are quite noisy. There are lots of nicer accommodations in the area so I wouldn't choose that place again. The only positive remark is the location.

Lovely, welcoming place to stay. We stayed in the family room which had very good facilities- fridge, kettle, good space to make snacks etc, with chairs to sit outside through a patio door. Bathroom was very high standard. Food in the restaurant was very good and all staff very friendly!

We booked this room about 10 hours before our arrival. After spending a big afternoon in Triberg, we just needed a clean, cozy place to rest. Our hostess was at the door waiting for us when we arrived. Nearly everything about this place was perfect. The decor, the modern bathroom, the comfy beds, the view of the castle from our...

After a long day of driving from Cochem, Germany, we were delighted to find such friendly and awesome accommodations in the small town of Hornberg. We had excellent accommodations in a nicely decorated room above the gasthaus with all the modern conveniences one could hope for and were warmly treated by the owners and staff to an excellent dinner that...

This is a very pleasant place to stay. The town of Hornberg is quite small but very pretty. The guesthouse is well located to access the town with free parking across the street. We were made very welcome and our room was really nice with views of the schloss. Dinner and breakfast were good. Excellent value for money.

We stay here every time we come to the Black Forest. Armin Hartmann, chef and owner is a gracious host who provides traditional hospitality with a tasty menu for lunch and dinner. The lovely German breakfast starts the day off just right. Parking is free, secure and convenient (right in front of the guest house). We have stayed in various...

A lovely guesthouse, this is an ideal place to stay when touring in the Black Forest. Hornberg itself is a pretty little town with beautiful countryside all around. Our room was very comfortable with an excellent bathroom, and reassuringly we had a view of the car park below (as well as a hillside with a castle on top) to see...
