If you are looking for something simple with a good deal for a short trip this hotel is fine. It is very clean and rooms are adequate. Bathroom renovated but very small. It is not a wellness hotel but has one sauna which was working. Other sauna and steam bath were advertised but not in use. Bavarian food which is good but don't expect any fancy trimmings. Staff are friendly. There is not much to do and see in Frauenau but it is close to several other small towns and in a good area for walking. In general good value for money.

The hotel makes a very good overall impression, although there are still a few areas that could be renovated (e.g. the toilet in the room). The breakfast room and restaurant are very nice and cozy. The breakfast buffet is very extensive, and the evening meal is also plentiful and good. The fact that the saunas are now heated on request is completely understandable in view of the energy costs. As soon as you express a wish, it is fulfilled immediately, including the heating of the saunas and the whirlpool. The staff are very friendly. All rooms, including the wellness area, are very clean. The proximity to the train station is ideal for excursions. Children and dogs are welcome. In short - a lovely 3-day stay with very good value for money. Thank you very much.

The country inn is actually in a good location. But the hotel still has a lot to learn. The breakfast room seems bright and cozy, but the breakfast buffet is rather mediocre and poorly organized. There is little to no refilling and replenishment. It would be desirable to pay more attention to cleanliness in the rooms. The welcoming glasses were neither changed nor put away for 3 days. There was hair on the mattress. The mattresses themselves are a disgrace. They are saggy and it is impossible to get a good night's sleep on them. The elevator was apparently last serviced 4 years ago. Reception is only manned during the day. The very small wellness area can only be used at certain times, the saunas are only turned on at around 3 p.m. and sometimes only on request. Here too, the cleanliness and maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. There was water and tea bags in the relaxation room, but no hot water heater. The massage included in our package was unfortunately only available on a set date. The lady travels from further away and is therefore not there every day. The 4-course menu in the evenings is not really a full meal. It consists of soup, salad, main course (choice of 3 dishes) and dessert or schnapps. The portions are very small, however. The dining room is modern in design.
The attempt is made, but unfortunately it cannot and will not be implemented well. The implementation of the concept should be revised again. Under the current circumstances, we will not recommend it.
