Interesting visit of Geiranger outside touristic season... We found this hotel to go for lunch and WOAW great experience. People really welcoming, food was good and enjoed the place even if it was a burger and smoked salmon plate! Price ok and place is breattaking due to the view you have on the fjord!

Lovely large hotel in scenic location; spacious, nicely furnished public spaces. Even the non-view rooms look out onto a lovely hillside; and unlike most Norwegian hotels, they even have bar soap, shampoo, and floor towels. Of course, such a large hotel is sustained mainly by bus tours, so their patrons will make up more than 90% of your fellow guests...

Geiranger is absolutely beautiful, and the Hotel Union is the perfect place to take it all in. The facilities were beautiful, and the pool was a perfect place to relax. The room was amazing, we had a balcony overlooking the fjord, which was worth the extra money. My one regret was that we only stayed there one night, it was...

We stayed in Geiranger for only two nights and filled our days with a trip on the gorge and journey along the Troll road. It was late in the season, all of the Cruise ships had left and everything was very quiet. The weather was mild and cool and perfect for sightseeing. We loved the hotel. Our room had a...

Had an amazing stay at this wonderful hotel with the best view over the Geirangerfjord. The check in and out was very quick and the young lady behind the reception was very service minded and helpful. The room was clean and nicely furnished, with everything you need. The breakfast was big and there was something for every taste. The hotel...

Charming and old-world, the Hotel Union sits at the edge of the Geiranger Fjord. A waterfall spills genially down the mountain next to the hotel, ending in the water below. A 1918 red Buick Phaeton touring car sits in the hotel lobby, a tribute to the many years in which cars were used to take tourists from cruise ships into...

Whatelse can I add to the other reviews on this hotel? The views , absolutely gorgeous, and please spend that extra money to get a fjord view room, you won't regret it. We love the outdoor pool, breathe the gorgeous clean mountain air while we soaked our aches and pains from the hike. The indoor pool was great for doing...

It's a wonderful experience to stay in Hotel Union. The food my hubby and I had at the hotel were all nice and delicious (especially the dishes served at Restaurant Julie) and the staff were helpful and kind. Speaking of staff, I'd like to thank a member of the hotel staff working at the lobby and reception area, Mr. Ole...

The Union Hotel Geiranger is amazing, the location, service, food, amenities, staff everything is perfect. We are staying for three days - it is the end of the summer season but the weather has been lovely and it is quieter with less crowds around at this time. If possible request a room with a view, our room 580 has a...

So longas you have a room with a fjord view, don't let anyone try to persuade you that there is any better place to stay in Geiranger. Bordering on opulent, the hotel enjoys a magnificent location on a hill with commanding views of the fjord and surrounding mountains. It even has its own waterfall (well almost) that thunders past nearby...
