Very reasonably priced for a weekend in the Alentejo. Pretty setting and convenient for all the main sights. Building itself impressive, lovely terrace and furnishings throughout. Room disappointing, good size but very cramped bathroom and in need of updating. Hotel currently in a refurbishment programme so may have better rooms. Very helpful receptionist, good breakfast and generally good service. Definitely...

Great option at a low price. Excellent location near several great restaurants. Decent breakfast, very friendly environment and great architecture. Only drawback is a noisy heating system that can be off for sleeping.

What a find! Absolutely beautiful hotel in idyllic surroundings yet in the centre of the town. This hotel is superb value for money and even if it was three times the price would not be excessive! Beautifully furnished and very helpful staff. We shall be back

This is a gorgeous little hotel and an absolute bargain considering the prices they charge. We paid 37.5 euros for a double room with breakfast. The hotel itself is a lovely old building, with some very nicely presented public areas. Receptionists were very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely - modern convenience inserted into an old room (with a fantastic...

Stayed for 2 weeks and had a wonderful stay. The hotel is very quiet and peaceful even when there were families staying. The building is incredibly beautiful and the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was fresh and had a wide variety of pastries as wel as cheese meat cereal and fruit. The buffet was replenished frequently, even towards...

The building is very impressive and looks stunning, like a real palace; rooms are a bit outdated with older furnitue and they could use an upgrade; the hotel was quiet and has a small swimming pool at the back of the long yard with limited seating capacity, so first come first serve; breakfast was very good and the staff is...

We stayed in the junior suites, and found them to be charming, and while historic, in absolutely fine shape. There is a lovely pool and grounds. Our room was large, with a very comfortable new bed, a lovely sitting room and patio, and a bathroom that was older but not at all outmoded. The hotel is just minutes to the...

We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed it. There was a lot of work ongoing but that was not disruptive. Our room was very large, breakfast was good, the stsff work hard and the building, a former convent, is beautiful. We loved it.
