Our third stay in the Mirador . Garden room with balcony overlooking the busy harbour. Yes it is high up and there are lots of steps to the harbour but the clue is in the name! There are excellent places to eat in the top part of the city too! Parking can be tricky but not many hotels offer parking. The breakfasts are fabulous with delicious fresh bread, fruit, local delicacies and lots of sweet and savoury options. Rooms were always serviced well. Our chamber maids were very attentive. Lots of people use this as a business venue and there were no children here at this time. Pool and spa still open but we were too busy! Even the ongoing building works had no impact on us where we were based in a Jardin room.
We loved staying at this excellent hotel, the rooms were very comfortable and clean and we were given free upgrades both nights we visited. The staff are lovely and extremely proficient in English. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfast was superb with a great selection.
This was a lovely find for just a one night stay, after our other hotel let us down. I booked an hour or so before turning up and we didn't have to wait at all. I can't fault the cleanliness at all, and the bedroom was so lovely with everything you might need and the bed was extremely comfy!! Small but nice, clean facilities to use as well. Thankyou to the lovely lady on the desk who was very helpful and welcoming when we arrived. Had a great stay.
The hotel was clean and very nice, however I paid for half board and was told the restaurant would be open 8-10 p.m. on the first evening the restaurant was full of flies and had to keep wafting them away while trying to eat. Day 2. Breakfast buffet fine except again full of flies which put me off eating much. I went to the evening meal at 9:30 and was told the restaurant is closed, after a discussion with reception they allowed me to go in. A menu was thrown in front of me and I was ignored for a further 10 minutes, eventually a receptionist arrived and said the waitress was on her own, I was clearly an inconvenience. I decided to leave & was offered a picnic for the following day which I declined. I couldn’t relax by the pool as there is extensive building work being carried out, which doesn’t look like being finished soon. When I checked out, I wasn’t offered an apology or reduction. I didn’t complain because there were other guests at the reception. My advice- AVOID THIS HOTEL.…
We stayed three days in the hotel. We had two annoying events : continious noise during the first night and overflow water the second night. We did not receive any reply after a compensation / request.
Our trip to Italy was cancelled by the travel company 8 days before we were to go so we were left to our own devices in sorting an alternative. We managed to get 2 seats on a very full Jet2 flight to Mahon [all praise to them by the way - in the current climate it is wonderful to have had trouble flee flights]. Then we had to find a hotel. The one we stayed in 10 years ago was fully booked and when we looked further we found we had very little choice so booked this one in a hurry before we had checked the TA reviews. We were a bit concerned when we saw the ones from March and April about the building work but decided to come anyway. We got a ground floor room with a terrace close to the entrance to the garden and pool which was quite close to the major construction site on the south side but we had very few problems. I think the earlier work was at foundation level and much more disruptive than at present There is now a concrete wall separating the site from the hotel. There is noise but we found it fairly easy to tune it out [even on the day where they poured a whole new concrete floor slab]. The rooms were a good size and everything worked. The staff were friendly. We had dinner in the hotel twice and the food was good and not expensive. The views of the harbour are good and we could walk into town in 10 to 15 minutes. The only real concern we had was we had to kill 2 cockroaches which I think might have been disturbed by the building work and come in from the garden.…
Hotel and booing.com won't listen. Working going on at both sides of the hotel. Room was OK,but finishing was a joke ,smoke alarm taped up in both rooms . Tv wasn't working until last night pool area was just soil Noise in all area when building work was going on.
Worst experience I have had at a hotel ever. The pictures on the brochure are no where near what you get when you arrive at the hotel. It’s like a war zone, the pool and gardens are full of heavy machinery and at 8 am in the morning you will hear mango hammers, chainsaws, heavy machinery and so much noise. When I asked the front desk about this all that was offered was a refund of the rest of my stay if I moved to another hotel!!! I was reluctant at first so agreed to have breakfast included instead. This happened on the first day and the second day they tried to tell me there was no noise and I should not have breakfast. I couldn’t take any more at this stage and left.
Very disappointed. No facilities, except breakfast. Restaurant and bars closed for the holiday period. Not advised previous to booking or in time to cancel. Definitely need a car. Misleading information regarding the distance to the port on foot. No information about the hilly terrain, or the amount of very steep steps to get to the post.
Lovely clean hotel with views over the port. Room was clean with comfortable bed. Good shower small balcony only big enough for 1 chair. Spa was lovely very chilled place. I choose the hotel as it had a gym but was getting a refurbished 2 days out of my 4 day stay which I didn't know about. Prices at the bar expensive even for a hotel €16.30 for one pint of lager and one very small measured bacardi and coke. 2 small coffees €4.80 which where stone cold so had to be changed. Receptionists where lovely very helpful and friendly
