I was in Menorca for 11 days and had 4 days before I meet friends at a villa in Cala En Porter (more reviews on there to follow)so booked here as I've been to Mahon before and knew it was such a lovely calm place,I booked this hotel as it was away from the port and in historic Mahon,what a hidden gem it is, friendly typical Spanish hotel,continental breakfast included and the friendliest staff ever,nothing is too much trouble and they all speak enough English if your Spanish like mine is not good!! The rooms are clean some have balconies all have shower and toilet but the single I stayed in is basic but then it's a great place to stay at little money and remember it's to sleep and shower in!! The beautiful port of Mahon is a 10 minute walk away with all.its shops cafes and portside restaurants and maybe a 20 minute walk back depending on how much Rioja you have!!! …

Last minute booking for the Euro Hotel. What a great find, centre of town, 5 minute walk down to the harbour, that is full of a verity of restaurants. Also 5 minutes to the centre of this historic town with such a diversity of shops and historic building. We hired a car, but only used it a few days,(recommended) as most places were within walking distance. The car gave us the opportunity to see a lot of the Island, with recommendation from hotel staff, we managed to go to some lovely beaches and bays also some very old historic sites. Ciutadella, the city at the oppesite end of the island is a must see, beautiful. There is so much to see.

Ideally located for town and the port. Nice clean room with walk in shower. Continental breakfast served by pleasant helpful staff. Had a very pleasant 2 day stay and would definitely recommend for town and port. Many good restaurants in the lovely town of Mahon and will return as soon as we are able.

Very friendly staff also very close to city centre. Great place to stay. Good breakfast. Parking very close. Would stay again. Airport only 10 minutes drive away. For the money this hotel can’t be beaten.

We decided to visit Menorca at very short notice and this hotel had a room available. It was one of the lowest priced places in Mahon, but we thought it would be worth a punt. The location of the hotel was ideal. Just a few minutes walk from the city centre, indoor market, etc. It's a bit of a hike to get to the bus terminus, but it is definitely within walking distance. The harbour is just along the street and down the steps (everywhere in Mahon is either up steps or down steps -- the place is built on a cliff). Car parking is on street or in a nearby car parking area and it is free Compared with other hotels that we have stayed at in the past, it is basic in the extreme. We would say that it is something like the Travelodge hotels in the UK, but the rooms are very small in comparison. However, our room was kept spotlessly clean during our stay. The beds were comfortable and the towels were changed every day. Breakfast was basic -- tea or coffee with a croissant or toast. But there can be no complaint about that, because that is what is in their advertisements. Staff were all friendly, but only one (lady) had fluent English -- the others had virtually none at all. However, we managed to get by with them most of the time. The lady who spoke good English was very helpful in recommending places to visit. We do have a couple of niggles though. The decor in our bathroom was a bit tired and could do with some tidying up -- one or two tiles were broken, there was no plug in the wash basin and no plug in the bath (not that we wanted to use the bath as we usually use just the shower). The electric socket next to the beds was broken when we arrived -- we reported this immediately, but it wasn't repaired until the day before we left. We never worked out how the air-conditioning was operated, but that wasn't really a problem as the weather was pleasant rather than hot while we were there.…

Stayed here for 2 nights in jan, location was great! Very good value for money. If you just need to get your head down of an evening. Chap on the front desk was helpful and give us euro adapters to borrow for the weekend. Cons; No iron in the hotel Rooms echo alot!

Although we did arrive in a heatwave and the AC unit in our room didn't work! Room clean, adequate with a modern feel. Quite spacious with good bathroom - also plenty of room with proper walk-in modern shower, overhead and hand shower. Window opened to inner courtyard for air. Staff helpful, breakfast coffee excellent - made at the bar, not filter. Toast or local pastry. At present there is a large free parking ground nearby. Short walk to city centre and one of the few affordable hotels on the island.

Despite some bad reviews this hotel is in fact fine. It is a bit old but it is clean with confortable beds. We went off season when it was not full but I can imagine that one noisy lodger in the staircase would be noticed! The breakfast was as advertised with great strong coffee. The manager running the place was friendly and very helpful. I would go back with no hesitation : good price / quality ratio.

We spent here 6 nights an absolutely loved every day. The family running it is very friendly and helpful, room was confi (with bathtub, tv and ventillator) and cleaned every day. Breakfast is simple nicely served. Location is perfect, we rented a moto which we could park closeby. Could be cheaper but it was just perfect for us. Highly recommended if you like simle hotels with a charming athmosphare. :)
