Jardi de ses Bruixes Boutique Hotel was born from a dream. Anja's and Nando's dream, both Menorcan entrepreneurs who one day decided to turn their dream into reality and transform Nando's old architecture office into a hotel. An open house able to reflect all their illusions, their positivism and their creativity, but above all their passion for small details and things made with love. A hotel with a familiar, close and very magical atmosphere. We love to say that Jardi de ses Bruixes is the 'yes' hotel. Yes to creativity, to good ideas, to cultural exchange and definitely yes to make your dreams come true. And that's the reason for its name, Jardi de ses Bruixes. In Menorca, the spores of dandelion are called 'bruixes' - the ones you blow while making a wish. The garden is the heart of the hotel, our magical place. In this project, Nando and Anja are accompanied by family and friends, who make their best so the hotel guests and the visitors at the cafe feel just at home. The hotel has 8 rooms distributed respecting the original structure of the house. Downstairs there is a large living room, a library with fireplace and a desk with a computer available for our guests. The Jardi de ses Bruixes Cafe is also on the ground floor - it is open to the public and specializes in homemade and international pastries. The inner courtyard with orange trees is the perfect setting for breakfast, tea, a drink, a snack and to enjoy a quiet evening in the chill-out area. In the basement there is a conference room for 50 people with audio visual equipment. On the fourth floor there is the solarium and from this floor you can access the tower, which has spectacular views over the city. You can see from Monte Toro to La Mola and the harbour. A lift enables the access from the basement to the third. The third floor communicates with the solarium by a spiral staircase.

We have just returned from 10 days at this excellent boutique hotel. On arrival we received a very warm welcome from Barbara, Kelly and Laura. All the staff were professional and client focused nothing was too much trouble. Our noble deluxe room had an authentic charm, was bright, modern, clean, very spacious and was comfortably appointed. It was a pleasure to escape there after a busy day sightseeing. Reception were very obliging and arranged a number of transfers for us and also a very nice private wine tasting to celebrate a special occasion with friends. Breakfast was very good and taken in a charming Menorcan patio where dinner is also served. The restaurant staff were very welcoming and attentive in particular Magnolia, Patricia and Mark (sorry if I missed anyone). Jardi de Ses Bruixes is very well situated for the historic centre of Mahon and only a few steps from the bars and restaurants in a very quiet, traditional street full of townhouses. Very close to the harbour and also the bus station (5 or 10 minutes walk) if you want to explore the island. Would highly recommend a stay here.

i visited the courtyard here for brunch in October and then returned to stay last week. Honestly feel like this could be the best hotel in the world! Everything is so incredibly elegant, so well presented, so beautiful and every detail is considered. The food is fabulous, the setting is divine, the room was so comfortable but the SERVICE was incredible. Sometimes its easy to forget what really great service is like. The staff here are truly wonderful. AND then i went to the spa and for sure, this is definitely the best spa i have ever been to! It looks like a townhouse on the outside but once you enter you go down into caves bellow. The offering here is INCREDIBLE. im thrilled i have just moved to Menorca and im going back to the spa today!

My wife and I were staying around the corner at the Hotel San Miguel which is cheaper, quite adequate, but not near as nice. We picked the Jardi de ses Bruixes for a dinner in a romantic setting. The food was really excellent, occasionally served by the chef himself who would stop to chat since we were there earlier than most Spaniards. The setting, however, was a totally delightful garden courtyard with chandeliers and a retractable roof if heat needed to be kept in. We had a nice bottle of wine that was priced more than fairly and a memorable meal.

We visited for breakfast followed by a tour of the spa. It's a fabulous spot for a city break in Mahon. The breakfast was very serene and good quality. The spa is spectacular. Perhaps the nicest spa we have ever visited. A very special place.

The understated opulence of this venue was complemented with the friendly and professional manner of its staff. As part of our honeymoon gift, we had the hotels adjoining spa to ourselves (due to it being low season) and a delicious brunch in the garden. One point to mention: They had forgotten to include the cava with the brunch, so we came back the next day, and they were more than happy to provide it. Highly recommended. We will definitely stay here next time!

We booked and paid for 4 nights in the Suite Gran Patio some six months earlier for a special occasion. The booking in this specific suite was confirmed by the hotel. Unfortunately on arrival this room had been given to someone else and we were given the other “Suite Experience” Room 8. Although this room is larger it is far from being comparable and indeed at the time we booked was in a lower category. It is in the attic, with three small porthole windows and little natural light. The private room terrace is up a spiral staircase and feels remote from the room. There was little apology that this had happened with their new booking system being blamed, even though we had specifically booked the Gran Patio. We only spent one night in this room and moved to room 14 for the remainder of our stay. It didn’t have any outside space, but in all other ways was considerably superior to room 8 We did receive a refund to reflect the lower cost of room 14 and a complimentary bottle of wine with dinner on our first night, but this was little compensation for their failure to give us the room we had booked and paid for. Felt cheated.

Dear Mr Taylor, We are really sorry that you were disappointed with all that happened during your stay with us. Since you booked the Suite Gran Patio with us, we started a refurbishing an improvement of room number 8 to make the room of the same category of the Suite Gran Patio. We thought the room it's so nice that everybody would love it. Maybe we could advise you of that change of the room before your arrival and we apologise for that. Otherwise, we always tried to take care of you and be at your disposal if you needed anything. We hope to be able to welcome you again another time. Kind regards,

We had booked into a sister hotel Casa Alberti for a week's relaxing break but a week before flying we received an email asking us to transfer our booking as renovation work was overrunning. The facilities were better and no change to the price we had paid. The service before we arrived was helpful and efficient, booking private transfers and a hire car from the day after we arrived. Could have saved money waiting for local airport taxis and booking hire car online but it all happened so smoothly I wouldn't have changed a thing. The staff were friendly and helpful when we arrived mid morning, the room wasn't ready but they called my mobile to confirm when it was an hour later. The room and public areas were immaculate with great bedlinen, towels, robes, slippers, toiletries and complimentary water in the fridge and nuts! Reception organised a supply of fresh milk for teas in the rooms. The TV in the room had loads of channels, perhaps an English language choice would be nice but not essential. It was good to get away from the political turmoil at home. The breakfasts included in the price were excellent with fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, meusli, yoghurt, toast, eggs cooked any way you liked, bacon, all freshly prepared and served with a smile. The courtyard cafe/restaurant was a picture, a shame it was a bit cool to sit out although some did. We didn't eat dinner in the restaurant which was probably a mistake but we enjoyed the bracing walk to the many restaurants along the harbour's edge. Next time! The honesty bar in the lounge was fine although never had a bottle of red wine after the first time we tried it. How about some small single serving bottles? Have a look at the underground spa and also the rooftop terrace, a great place for a late afternoon cup of tea or glass of wine in the sun. All in all an excellent hotel based in the town, great location other than finding your way round the one-way system to get to the private car park in the hire car which I think is essential to see the island's sights. Perhaps a map with some landmarks to follow? Thanks to all the staff who gave us a smile and hola whenever we passed.

We had a voucher for the two of us to go to the Hotels spa, and, to be honest, I didn't really fancy it. How wrong I was!!! Absolutely loved, loved, loved it! It is situated next door to the hotel and is in what would have been a vaulted basement. The staff were lovely and the whole area was set out beautifully. There are pools with water massage jets, salt water warm pools to float in, cold water plunge pool and a hot one as well. Saunas and steam rooms as well as rest areas with drinking water and fruit provided. Very subdued lighting and well worth the money. 90 mins of pure joy!
