We have been going on holiday to the Forest of Dean for about fifteen years on and off and we always make a point of visiting Symonds Yat. We always eat at The Saracens Head, the setting is lovely and the food has always been good, it can get very busy during the summer months but they have a good...

This was actually our 2nd visit, our first being 5 years ago! The food was amazing, proper home cooked chips - we had a spicy pulled pork burger and fish and chips. Huge portions as well and lovely seating area. Will definitely be returning we may even stay over next time! We got the ferry back across after lunch.

A lovely pub suitable for all...lots of walkers had tables outside enjoying...

Whilst staying at the Bracelands Forest Holidays site we walked to Symonds Yat. We stopped at the Saracen's Head for food which was fantastic, especially the homemade chips!! Dogs are welcome in the bar area and staff are really friendly and helpful. I'd highly recommend this pub.

Fantastic position on edge of River Wye in the beautiful Forest of Dean. Easy atmosphere. Varied menu and good service. Great quality and quantity of food, unbelievable steak sandwiches. Good mug of tea to follow - teabag separate to mug to regulate strength. Brilliant!

The Saracens Head rescued us! We had booked a B&B locally, only to be horrified on arrival that the rooms were dirty and smelly (really smelly!), so, having stayed at The Saracen's Head some years ago and remembering how lovely it was, I called late at night to see if they had a room. They had just one! The chap...
