I have eaten at this establishment for years and it was always excellent. It has changed ownership, and I can say that the standard of food and service has gone down a lot. I have been 5 times this year, and have been a little disappointed on four occasions and extremely disappointed on my last visit. Service is always a...

Situated on top of a cliff overlooking the English Channel near Kingsgate Castle and bay, this hotel is not just perfect for a short weekend break but lovely location for birthdays and weddings! Nice area for hiking or riding a bike! The restaurant offers tasty dishes with a great view!

A good old-fashioned British hotel, maintained in character. Friendly, helpful staff, though not too efficient.. Good food and drink. Very dog friendly. Beautiful location. Comfortable clean rooms. Slightly strange plumbing. Really nice place to stay for a couple of nights.

I stay at this hotel every year in the winter for a night or two as a treat and love it . This time we had a summer visit for two nights for a birthday celebration and had a standard family room . Unfortunately we arrived on the hottest day of the year after a horrendous journey to find the...

We have stayed here many times and absolutely love it. Staff are friendly, rooms are nice (especially the large family rooms) and the food, although distinctly average in the past, seems to have improved lately. The location is absolutely unbeatable.

I visited the restaurant a few weeks ago and was impressed enough to book a room to celebrate my wife's birthday. I met some family members and had some lunch and it was up to the previous very good standard. The room had a complimentary tea & coffee tray and slightly unusually two bottles of water as well. The TV...

Accommodation was booked for a 60th birthday celebration and college reunion. On arrival were all impressed with the location of this hotel and thoroughly enjoyed lunchtime in the bar area. Rooms were adequate, if a little small and spirits were high. Problems started when we took up our dinner reservation to be told that we could expect to wait up...

We stayed here as a short Break after our wedding as we didn't have the time to get away properly until later in the year. We both love the sea and the fresh air so this was ideal, shame we didn't have the weather on our side. We had effectively stayed here out of season so it was very quiet,...

Great hotel, great service and brilliant facilities for dogs. Dogs allowed in the room, bar and outside area. Beach beautiful and quiet and doggies allowed during peak season before 10am and after 6pm which is fine in hot weather. Couldn't recommend strongly enough - staff really friendly, plenty of secure parking and I can't actually believe this is a 3...

Wonderful location and pleasant enough surroundings but do not expect a welcome if you are vegan or vegetarian. On my first visit there was only one vegetarian option on the menu. When I said to the waitress "You do not have much in the way of vegetarian food do you?" She just said "No". End of conversation - no offer...
