We stayed at the Highlander for 3 nights in a triple share room. The room was a little tired however the ensuite had just had a renovation and was very good, spacious with a towel warmer. There was plenty of room for us and our luggage. The wifi access was limited to the reception and lounge area, and generally was...

Our bus pulled up the the Highlander Hotel and it looked...rustic? But we found the beds to be comfortable, the dinner and breakfast to be good and the convenience to town and the historic park across the street to be favorable. We walked down to two local pubs (total for the town) and had a fun night listening to the...

At the end of the village a good hotel in lovely countryside. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable and bathroom had a large shower, no bath. Hotel was in 3 blocks so dining was in main block. Food was excellent and staff helpful. Popular with coach parties. The only noise I heard was from cars or people walking on the...

Had a 2 night overnight deal with breakfast and dinner on first night. On first appearance, this hotel looked like a typical travelodge from the outside which catered for mainly bus tours. However, on stepping inside, we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff on checking in who was happy to change my complimentary bottle of red wine...

Hotel very friendly cannot do enough for you. Breakfast outstanding and eveining dinner excellent too. Staff very efficient but helpful. Recommend highly. Great walks. Decided to park car and get bus to Aviemore then on to Inverness. It was good to sit and both of us enjoy the scenery.

Stayed fro two nights on a special deal. Accommodation, although dated, is more than adequate with enough space for everything. Breakfast was really good and set you up for the day. Had dinner on one night and found it surprisingly good and varied, considering they were dealing with three coach parties as well. I had requested a quiet table for...

Enjoyed a two night stay here and was suitably impressed with the overall standard of the hotel. While it is, in the main, a coach tour hotel it caters well for those looking for a comfortable stay at relatively low cost. The buildings are relatively modern blend in well in the surroundings. The room we had was spacious and comfortable...

OK I admit I only paid £55 for B&B for me, my husband and our dog which was really cheap. Clean room, with every essential provided but I couldn't help but be frustrated at Bespoke Hotels completely missing a trick with this hotel. Called the Highlander, near to Aviemore in the Highlands, there is nothing Scottish about this hotel. When...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
For true Highland hospitality come to the Highlander, a hotel renowned for its good food and warm welcome. The hotel is an ideal base for touring the North of Scotland with mountain ranges, forests, lochs and river valleys waiting to be explored. Wind down in our inviting restaurant serving an array of dishes made from locally sourced produce. Perhaps a wee dram from the bar would suit; choose a whisky from one of the many local distilleries for which this area is famous for throughout the world. ... more   less
