My en-suite bedroom was excellent, large, warm, well lit, comfortable bed, big wardrobe and a table with two arm chairs. Evening meal and breakfast food was of average quality but in generous amounts. Draught beer on hand pump. Service excellent and very friendly.

Myself and 6 pals stayed for the Camanachd Cup weekend, 3rd year in a row for some of us, tho first time the match has actually been held! Feel right at home in the Glen, clean comfy room, good shower, decent range of beers and whiskies, excellent food (breakfasts especially, tho venison steak dinner a little tough!) and staff for whom nothing is too much trouble and who seem genuinely interested in their guests. The area is hopeless for taxis but that's not the hotel's fault!

Enjoyed stay here. Very clean rooms. Booked king size room and was worth extra. More space and good size en suite with walk in shower. Plenty hot water. Great food, good portions and good quality. Friendly service. Good value. Would recommend. Will return next visit to Highlands.

Had a great day out in the hills and then plan was out in Newtonmore for some refreshments, walked past the gown hotel, pub of the year finalist it said outside so thought we were in for a treat. Walked in and ordered three pints and were abruptly asked had we not read the sign outside, not the pub of the year one? No apparently in this pub you can only drink if your a resident, Scottish hospitality at its finest, the pub of the year that won’t sell you a beer, incredible

Our trip: We are a family of four who needed a place to break our trip as we were visiting the Highland Wildlife Park, the Highland Folk Museum and the Zip Trek Adventure. The hosts: They have owned the hotel for twenty years and the love they have for the place shows. They were attentive, friendly and keen to help. The rooms: The beds were amazing. At the end of a long day you need to relax into a comfortable bed and these were honestly the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. All of us work up rested and refreshed. The shower was hot and powerful enough with a wall-mounted soap dispenser and was lovely. No water splashes on the floor as the cubicle closed completely. The kettle and drink-making facilities included drinking chocolate (the kids were happy) and decaffeinated coffee (I was happy) and biscuits. There were 240v sockets for charging up devices although a couple of sockets by the bed would have been nice. The food: We ate an evening meal and breakfast with them and we were happy on both occasions. They came up with suggestions to adapt existing meals and provided toast until we were fit to burst. They also asked my opinion on a new vegan sausage that they were trialling. Even better if: I don’t like finding faults but I felt the toilet flush was a little under-powered. I will leave it there… although I obviously didn’t.…

Room Tip:Only two sockets in the room but that’s probably enough for most people.

Fairly middling hotel in Newtonmore. It was more travel lodge than anything better. The rooms smelled like they were sprayed with excessive carpet freshener. Unimpressed at bar food - reheated chips, dry fish.

Went here for drinks and looked at the food they were bringing out. Came back for dinner and it was amazing. Staff so attentive and friendly and managers looked after us so well. Best service in Scotland. If you stay in the area make sure you pop in. Lunch dinner or drinks it’s a great experience.
