I had rented 2 ajoining rooms as we were 2 couples. One King suite and the neighbouring double. They were of the hightest calibre as was our greeting on arrival. The hotel provided a nice breakfast and was well located for visiting St Andrews, St Stephen and Calais ME.

After I’d booked through Priceline - which only mentioned the “damage deposit” WAY down in the smallest possible print - I had several unpleasant, unhelpful and deceptive emails and calls with the hotel. Receptionist? Manager? I don’t know. First - “oh we’re allowed to do that” Right. But is it “hospitality”? No. And is it legal I’ve got doubts. In fifty + years of travel, this is a first. Called me while I was enroute. “We can’t process the damage deposit with this card.” I gave them another, which apparently worked. Check in was not pleasant, not friendly. “Oh we dont actually charge it. And do you really want to pay for the room with the same card?” Jaw drops open (unstated message “do you, a single woman, really have enough money on that card?”) Yes. I do. Check out - room was ok, fridge and microwave sitting on the carpeted floor. Weird. Only one bedside table and lamp - that’s also a first. I asked again about the “damage deposit” “Oh we never charged it.” Looked at my statement the next day - there it was. Called back “there is NO damage to the room!” They agreed “sometimes it takes a couple of days.” Another lie. Four days after the fact, the “damage deposit” is still on my card. Never, ever again. Don’t stay here. It’s not that nice and they lie to you about costs.

Booked a suite for me, my wife and brother. This is NOT a suite It's just a large room with a king bed and a pull out couch RIGHT at THE Foot of the bed AND the whirlpool bath is next to the bed ALL in ONE ROOM with no separation - Not even a screen or curtain or screen for privacy Plus - found a used Breath mint stuck to the carpet next to the bed mentioned that to the desk No apology just "we'll talk to housekeeping" Brother decided to cut stay short so with a couple of days warning changed reservation to an ordinary room for two. No need to pay extra for a "Suite" Was told that it would not be a problem but we would have to check out (Before 11:00) AND take all of our belongings with us and check back in (after 3:00) I asked if we could possibly put our luggage somewhere on site . NO After breakfast I noticed (and checked to be sure with housekeeping) that the room into which we would be moving was made up. I asked the desk clerk if we could put our things in the room since it was booked for us and ready. She said that was just not allowed. we had to take our things and come back after 3:00 What kind of place does that to their guests? NEVER again PS AC was very noisy and hard to set Water temp in shower went from cool to scalding without any adjustment by the user. Talking to other guests we found that to be the norm for all or at least many rooms

The staff was very kind, clean rooms, nice old school vibe. Property was well cared for. Very easy to access from the highway. Also, a public playground and water playground that was accessible from the property. A nice basic breakfast served in the morning as well.

This is a good place to stop for 1 or 2 nights if you are traveling through New Brunswick. Very clean rooms, friendly staff and well kept grounds. Close to the town center but very quiet. They have a decent breakfast included with your room with really good banana bread.

One station on the television and absolutely no hot water !! If you’re a fan of cold showers you’ll love it. Not much of a breakfast considering the hundred and fifty dollars they charged me. I would never recommend this place even to someone I didn’t like.

It's convenient to the Maine/New Brunswick border and the St. John/Digby Ferry. Property is nice and has a small town indie hotel feel to it. Breakfast was nothing special, toast/bagels/muffins, yogurt and fruit. Our room was on the first floor. It was stuffy but we were able to open a window and leave it open all night. It was nice to avoid AC but there was a small amount of traffic noise throughout the night. It's sooo quiet otherwise that trucks and motorcycles are very noticeable even though it's several hundred feet off the road. We also experienced some floor noise from the room above us. Beds were a little squishy but I slept well. There is a small playground across the field suitable for kids up to 8 yo or so.

Only hotel I've EVER been charged for a tourist fee. Easy choice weather to go back, no. I've traveled all across north America and have never been charged that. If that's something normal, MORE notice is needed. Wouldn't had stayed if told at check in.
