Location was good, however apartment was old and tired. Could easily be very nice with a bit of paint and a new bathroom. Wasn't kept overly clean. Dishes and cutlery weren't very clean, had to give them a good wash. Floor hadn't been vacuumed. Linen and bedding could be spruced up. They are the only choice in the area. Windows...

We stayed in the Kiwi Cabin which is down the road from the other accommodation. It is well appointed and has everything you need. We were welcomed warmly by Tom and Wendy who were standing in for Jan. Enjoyed the beach opposite the Oceanside apartments, lovely place for a dip and also the beautiful grove of pohutukawa trees near the...

Booked this wonderful spot over the net from the night before when we were in Gisborne. It is straight over the road from the beach and a lovely beach for a stroll. The accommodation was very homely and everything you need for a relaxing stay. Jan the owner was very friendly and informative . A ride for 5 mins or...

There isn't a lot of accommodation to choose from at Waihou Bay but it's a delightful place to have a rest and break the journey around East Cape. The accommodation behind the house offers a large lounge and kitchen area with doors opening to the north-facing deck. It is comfortably furnished with a large dining table, settees and chairs etc....

What a beautiful spot! If you have decided to tour the East Cape this is a great spot to stop for a night or two. You are literally steps away from the sandy shore of the ocean, directly across the road from your bedroom. We rented the very spacious 2 bedroom with a full kitchen (and I do mean full!)....

Very relaxing 2 days and stunning weather while we stayed. Great walking along the beach. Comfortable accommodation and very quite. The only thing that could be improved is checking for spiders,as there were a lot of Daddy Long Leg Spiders in the unit which we had to clean out.

The apartment was large with an open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area. The kitchen was fully equipped. The apartment is detached with a nice patio and there is free parking. It is close to the sea with lovely views.

Excellent location with just a few steps onto beautiful Oruaiti Beach. The accommodation and facilities have all the comforts of home giving people the perfect opportunity to chill out for a few days in this unspoilt wilderness. Friendly and amiable hosts who make you feel very welcome to enjoy your stay.

We had booked the two bedroom apartment but when we arrived the hostess said she had moved us to the other room as we were only staying one night and she had let the room to fishermen who were staying for a week The room rate went up as there were three of us we had thought the rate we...

We had the two bedroom apartment under the house which was as expected. A bit like being at a friends place, it was perfectly acceptable but there were a couple of small things that we might do differently. Just over the road from the beach so it was a good place to be and the stand in owners were very...
