Looking for accommodation on New Zealand's West Cost the no vacancy sign was up everywhere. Russell & Sandy welcomed us into their beautiful B & B. The room was quite large, even though Sandy said it was small, the ensuite more than adequate. The breakfast was to die for, everything one could want served in a friendly, nothing was too...

When our train was cancelled out of Greymouth we stumbled upon Ti Kouka House. Sandy and Russell put us up for the night in their most charming French seaside home. Although, they were not expecting us they accommodated us with the most lovely room for the night. We slept like babies as the surf sung us to sleep after a...

the house was designed and built and decorated by the owners, Russell and Sandy. It is the most exquisite place we've seen - attention to every detail - their handmade furniture, the works. It has a nice view of the Tasman Sea with the mountains behind it. The alpacas grazing outside were a nice touch. The hosts couldn't have been...

We were on a tour organised by New Zealand in Depth, who selected Ti Kouka House for an overnight stay. We had a wonderful time. Sandy and Russell were perfect hosts and we were offered a magnificent evening meal which had been described as a "supper platter" - what a feast! The house itself is filled with interesting local "curios"...

Wow, for the welcome and what a breakfast!! Russell and Sandy have built an incredible home and their enthusiasm overflowed into everything they offered during our stay with them. The views as brilliant from the lovely area made into a private sitting area outside the bedroom, with welcoming homemade refreshments offered as soon as you arrive. Nothing is too much...

I wish that we had stayed here for more than one night. We were so warmly welcomed on our arrival after a long day of travel. Sandy has done an excellent job of making her home and guests comfortable. Her cooking is superb. We had an amazing dinner and breakfast that surpassed anything else we ate in New Zealand. Everything...

The house is fantastically unusual but works like a dream. Sandy & Russell are great hosts and one can send hours chatting. The beds are very comfortable but we did find the rooms somewhat cramped with nowhere to place the suitcases to unpack etc except on the bed. There were no drinking utensils in the rooms which made meds taking...

Very welcoming hosts in this wonderfully quirkily furnished accommodation. Our room had french doors to a seating area outside with fantastic views. We were made to feel very welcome with homemade scones and jam. When it was discovered one of us was gluten free Sandy immediately phoned our trip coordinator to phone ahead to the other places we were going to...

How fortunate we were to spend an evening in the company of Sandy and Russell in their beautiful home which was so full of character. We were met with a warm welcome which felt like meeting old friends instead of a new introduction. The love and care they obviously put into the building continues in their attentiveness to the comfort...

The house is awesome. Every view ( the complete house) is artwork and really stilysh. The rooms are small, but really amazing. I (we) have never seen such a tastefully equipped and furnished house (french artwork style - one of the houses you can find in the house magazines). Apart from that, Russell and Sandy offered the best breakfast of...
