A fantastic place to stay: it´s a nice restaurant / bar with huts direct at the seafront and a few very pleasant small houses about 20m away of them in the second row; Tuma and her team, they make it a home for her guests; it´s a perfect place to relax and enjoy the beach and indian ocean; the food...

I stayed here with my partner in October 2014 and totally loved it. It is basic but that is why it was so enjoyable and relaxing. Drifters is right on the beach and we lay on the beach reading drinking and eating. Sheer bliss! The staff are very friendly and we had a good few party nights in the bar....

I visited drifters some time ago and I loved it. Of course it is a budget accommodation so travellers with higher expectations should consider it. I found the chalets clean, comfortable and the most amazing thing were the lovely owners and the staff. Travelling alone, it was so easy to get in contact with other travellers and the owners were...

Being on a very tight backpackers budget, we called around 6 places in the Pangani/Ushongo area getting quotes. The dorm was only $12 a night, way cheaper than anywhere else we tried. Tuma (the manager) collected us from Pangani bus station and took us to Drifters free of charge (including paying for the ferry across Pangani River). The setting for...

we stayed in the huts on the beach - all reasonably priced - It was going ok - staff were not as friendly or helpful as the other places on the beach but we didn't mind. The last night a rat was in my hut- I asked to change my accommodation as i needed a good nights sleep before the...

After spending a couple of nights there, we scape. And we did not scape before because first they do is ask for the money of the nights you plan (originally) to stay. Either staff are nice, the atmosphere is not nice at all and owners does not look like enjoying from clients nothing else but the money. Bad bad

We stayed in their 'luxury chalet' recently: the toilet/shower area is open, with not even a curtain to divide it off from the rest of the room. On one bed was a stained bedsheet, while the other one had a mattress so thin I could feel the narrow wooden boards underneath all night. There were constant dog fights (as a...

We had a great dinner at Drifter's. For $10 per person we got prawns, salad, sides and a really nice atmosphere. Food in the Ushongo area is pretty expensive but this was worth it. Also Leonardo Da'Vinci's cafe (next to the art shop) was an excellent and cheap place to go for lunch. Amazing lobster there.

We arrived at Drifter's in the early afternoon, and went ahead to check out our rooms after lunch. We had found out about Drifter's from a friend, and checked the website in order to see what it offered. We were impressed, and decided to book. However, when we saw our rooms it was a different story. Nothing was as advertised,...
