We stayed there for one nighy. The good news, the food they served over dinner was amazing! The fried Tilapia was so delicious! The bad news, the hotel is on a busy road and the windows have ZERO noise isolation so you sleep as if you're on the street. Be ready to wake up very early as trucks aren't shy...

This historic hotel has the older main building with bigger rooms and a newer wing with smaller rooms. We stayed in the smaller rooms. Basic but comfortable. Good showers. The fan and mosquito netting were a welcome combo for sleeping. I thought it would be noisier being that its on the main street, but it was a quiet night's sleep....

Two recent visit to the Masindi Hotel brought back memories, when in the 1990's the hotel was handed to a private investor as Uganda Hotels was broken up. At that time did the new owners embark on a major refurbishment exercise but the sheen in the rooms at least has worn off a bit. The rooms are not very large,...

This is the oldest hotel in Uganda and it should be great, but it is terrible. It was not very welcoming. The room was OK in size but they had put such an enormous double bed in that there was no room. We had to turn sideways to get round the bed. Also it was sparse in terms of furniture....

It is just worth it to stay in the hotel that Hemingway recuperated after his plane crash, drink at the Hemingway bar, stay in one of his room and catch the 1940 atmosphere. Also, Bogart and Hepburn stayed there while filming "The African Queen". It is about a five hour ride to Murchison Falls National Park, but spending an evening...

Failed to provide the primary function of a hotel i.e. providing accomodation to sleep. The generator got turned on at 0400 AM. And this generator was located 50m away from our rooms. The night manager agreed that it was unacceptable and then agreed to turn it off. It was then turned on again at 0600AM. Which didnt align with our...

We had lunch at this hotel while on our way to Murchison Park. The lunch menu was very well designed, catering for all types of cuisine. We ordered Indian food which was very delicious and sumptuous. It is reasonably priced.

I stayed here for 2 nights on my way back from Murchison falls. The hotel grounds are very secure and beautiful. The staff and manager were very helpful and the food was excellent. The rooms were clean, cozy and there was plenty of hot water. I would highly recommend this place

I stayed in this Hotel for 2 nights during my Uganda Trip and had excellent experiences in this Hotel. The 2 Managers I´ve met are incredibly friendly, helpful and warmhearted people. It´s rare to meet such nice people in this world. Rooms are clean, food is so delicious (I ate the fest fish all over Uganda) and staff is always...
