This is a rather large resort on the correct side of the Nile. It has what is needed but lacks charm. Maybe it's the best in the area, I don't know, just don't expect too much from it. There are no wildlife around the hotel - good for those who fear it, boring for those who which to stay in...

I am writing in response to the review entitled “Nothing special”. I am surprised at the comments regarding the lack of wildlife as most of our guests tend to see an abundance of game – we have had elephants in the swimming pool and hippos on room verandas. We cannot produce on demand animals as by their nature they are...

The hotel is clean with very helpful staff. The bedrooms with a balcony overlooking the pool are comfortable and close to the restaurant. The food and service is excellent. There is a large, clean swimming pool nearby. I went on the boat trip to the Murchison falls and wildlife abounded so it is highly recommended.

Yes, its a long drive from Kampala. It took us 7 hours to get to the Lodge; mainly due to the traffic in Kampala and all the slow trucks on the road. The directions published by the lodge are some help but there are several mistakes in the distances. Don't expect any road signs. There are some Paraa Lodge signs...

This was a nice get 2 night away for my daughter and I and the twin babies she was adopting. The drive from Kampala is long (6 hours) drive. They even moved (2) cribs into the room for the babies which was awesome! The Lodge needs some refurbishing but overall was very good and we loved it. We did the...

After a long drive from Ndali Lodge, we managed the last ferry transfer to Paraa lodge- on the opposite back of the Nile. The name means- "Place of Hippos' and boy there were many of them!!!! We did a terrific boat trip to the bottom of the falls- an absolute must- seeing hippos, crocs, elephant, buck and many birds. The...

Outstanding safari lodge - comfortable rooms, gorgeous views, pleasant staff, excellent guides, great meals, reasonable rates. This place has it all. The park is beautiful enough, but the Nile Cruise is 5-star river safari experience. Need three days to enjoy it all.

It's probably one of the nicest hotels in the Murchison Falls National Park. The rooms got a nice view of the Nile River, and the hotel is also located very close to where you can take a boat safari. They offer full-board rate, and the food included in the hotel rate is very generous and good. The internet access is...

Paraa lodge is one of the most beautiful places you can stay at on this planet. The place is simply beautiful, very Eco friendly yet very comfortable and convenient. Beautifully situated by the lake you usually have baboons playing around in the hotel garden roaming freely, you can see squirrels and hippos as well around the hotel. The staff is...

This was my third stay at Paraa in five years and I was not disappointed. I was with a group of 10 that arrived on a small bus – and the greeters quickly noticed all our luggage was covered in the beautiful red dust of Northern Uganda – and they worked diligently to clean all our suitcases before bringing them...

I can't add much more than the many top reviews already written. It was such a pleasure and at the same time exciting to get the car barge across the Nile river to this lodge which was only five minutes from the barge and not another eternal murram road! We visited the top of the falls on our way to...
