When we arrived there was a mix up with the group booking we had. It took ages to sort out - apparently they hadn't received payment when the rooms had been booked a month before and money had left our account. The staff were only interested in helping when there was money to be made i.e buying food and drinks...

We arrived and the Person we'd spoken to in kla had not made our booking👎 However,we were given accommodation👍. Website is that there's hot water for showering. Doesn't say one has to pay 3k for it👎. Staff however offered the hotwater👍. Food got finished early. No flexibility whatsoever even when the kitchen is still open👎staff offered rice and beans for...

The place has a beautiful view upon the nile, the safari tents are confortable with good beds. Maybe power would be nice just to be able to turn on some light at night. Other than that, food is decent and cleanliness of the common bathrooms as well.

This somewhat cramped Rest Camp my be okay if you use their Bandas or Safari tents, but definitely not if you come with your own tent, rooftop or not. There is no shade nor any privacy provided. There are much better options for camping just a few Km away, outside the park.

Dear barbaraglobetrotting Thanks very much for the review. I am sorry you found the Rest Camp cramped - we have been extremely busy at the moment but business really does vary throughout the year. The good news is we are taking over some new land from the 1st April 2017, just close by to the ablution block which will allow...

The service at redchilli was terrible, lack of flexibility, poor customer service, terrible treatment of local Ugandans including children, despicable, i guess for the cost, that is what locals should expect, really unfortunate that its the only low cost accommodation in the area, the tents were nice though, generally i was appalled by the whole experience.

Dear Mug S I am so sorry to hear you were so disappointed and appalled by your experience at Red Chilli in Murchison. I have tried to do some investigative work into what went wrong for you during your stay and have come up with the following: - You arrived first at our camp in the evening, when the kitchen...

I stayed here as part of a stay in Murchison organised by Red Chilli. The camp offers tents and bandas and the comfort level is quite acceptable for a couple of nights in the National Park. Murchison is unforgettable and I can't recommend it highly enough. The camp has a nice bar/restaurant with views of the Nile. Watching the sun...

For the adventure seeker who wants to spend a night close to nature under the open African sky you may choose to use the tent or a Banda. Dont venture too far out at night without light or you stumble upon a hippo or a warthog. A boat ride at 2.00pm is a must taking you to the bottom of...

The Red Chilli is minutes from the ferry across the Nile to the game drives in the Murchison National Park. I stayed in a Banda and loved it, but you should go into this place with the right attitude. It's more like a camping trip than a luxury experience - but it is a great experience! Wart hogs and baboons...

Dear JoyceAna Many thanks for taking the time to provide such helpful, detail feedback for other potential guests at Red Chilli! Sadly we have been having real problems with water of late: because of a lack of water on site we are reliant on Uganda Wildlife Authority to provide water for the camp via their 2 boreholes. Sadly their system...

This comfortable site has a great, convenient location - just five minutes away from the ferry that takes you across the Nile to game drives. Facilities are clean, well priced and well-cared for, and they offer cheap western and local meals. Service was fine, depending on which staff member I talked to; some were extremely kind and helpful, while others...
