Murchison River Lodge is one nice place for one taking a holiday trip in the Murchison Falls National Park. It has very nice View of the Mighty River Nile, where you can see Elephants swimming and taking water, also Crocodiles swimming down stream, alot of avifauna and other aquatic faunas.

This is an absolutely amazing place to stay if you want something more up market. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The managers, Chris and Astrid, are always on hand to welcome and quickly solve any issues. All meals were excellent and nothing can beat the views from the restaurant. On our arrival we were lucky enough to enjoy...

We visited just before Easter with our two small children whilst on a safari tour with Buffalo Safari Camps. From start to finish we loved our time at MRL..... From fresh juice as we climbed hot and sweaty from the truck, to fantastic food in the middle of nowhere, nothing was too much trouble. Chris and Astrid were excellent hosts-...

We loved the Lodge. You arrive and you're greeted with some fresh juice, given the intro and led to your cool 2-story lodge. Our unit slept up to 4 people. Every meal was great, especially when you're overlooking the Nile and picking up the groups of Hippos with your binoculars. Easy access to the river tours and safaris over the...

We had a large group and enjoyed a tremendous camping trip. Chris and Astrid were fabulous hosts. The views over the river were spectacular, the beers were cold and it's a super convenient base to explore the National Park.

We had a very nice visit at Murchison River Lodge. We stayed in the safari tents, and had one hippo come by at night to our window! Watch out for the monkeys, as they can come in your bathroom at any time! They visited us multiple times, and used our towel and turned on the shower. The food was good...

We only used their camping facilities, but they were stellar: beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean ablutions, lots of shady space for your tent as well as a few covered cooking areas. They even have a bar area with its own Wi-Fi, just for the camping area! You can use their beautiful pool as well as have a drink in the...

A terrific combination of tented and cottage-styled accommodation on the banks of the iconic River Nile. The management couple , Astrid and Chris, were really professional. I am always amazed at the food quality these camps deliver - especially that they are located 'in the middle of no-where'. Regular trips to Kampala!

This is quite a big property by our standards (over 20 safari tents I think plus a camping area) but it didn't feel like it. Our fully appointed safari tent was secluded and overlooked the river. It also had a hippo outside one night! The staff of the camp were very welcoming and helpful and the food was good. It...
