Located directly off the main Galle road it is remarkable how clam and peaceful the property is. Stayed in the Pavilion room which is very well appointed with a clever layout -although opening your shutters/French doors removes a great deal of your privacy. Dined in the property on a few occasions- excellent food and great service. Unawatuna beach (across the...

I've stayed in many beautiful hotels, B&Bs around the world and Sergeant House is the best boutique property I have yet to come across. It's an oasis of calm surrounded by beautifully kept gardens, a lily pond and swimming pool. We stayed in the penthouse suite overlooking the pool and the sound of the lapping of waves on the beach...

This place is lovely. The buildings are stunning as is the pool. The flora is divine - think fresh fragrant frangipanis dropping into the pool as is the feeling of calm and relaxation. We also has a family of monkeys to entertain us which was really special to watch. The staff we very friendly, however I would have liked more...

My wife and I have just stayed here for 3 nights - we cannot fault the hospitality of this boutique accommodation. It's an old colonial-style property located at the end of Unawatuna beach, walking distance to plenty of bars and restaurants, and opposite the beach. It's 300 LKR in a Tuk Tuk to the other end of the beach with...

Spent 6 nights here, with husband, daughter(15yrs) and son(21yrs) stayed in the original Dutch bungalow, over 100 years old. Three bedrooms each with ensuite bathroom, the main having outside covered bath/shower. Private lounge with tv, private veranda. The decor was unusual in that it was very carefully done and really interesting, not the usual bland interior but plenty of old...

We stayed here in early July this year and found it very relaxing stay. The service is very good and well managed. Mark, the owner, and Chathuri, the manager, gave excellent local advice. The chef deserves credit for the meals he produced. I very absentmindedly left my binoculars with significant amount of cash in the case and discovered this when we...

Beautiful boutique hotel with amazing swimming pool. Our villa was amazing too. It was very beautiful, large and clean. The wi-fi signal was fast. The staff was very friendly and the cook was really good. The breakfast was really tasty. Try the Sri Lankan omelette. Stewie, the house dog was lovely and the goose too. This hotel was truly gem...

We arrived here after a long day, starting in Yala at 5am and immediately started to relax. We stayed in the poolside pavilion for 3 nights, and left for the airport on our last day. As has already been described the style of the rooms and grounds is extremely well planned, down to the shower just before steps into the...
