This guesthouse is pretty basic, get the rooms on the second floor with the sea view. It's great to hang out on the balcony especially at night. However the location isn't the best - it's at the far end of the beach where the sand has a lot of shells and the beach is a bit dirty. Breakfast wasn't very...

I stayed here for nearly one month, rooms are very comfortable and clean with very comfortable beds and amazing views to the beach, the staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is authentic and favoured by locals, which is always a great sign. I will definitely be returning here on my next visit to Unawatuna, hopefully soon.

I found this place many years ago by accident. Its hard to compare against any other place because its a very unique place. I went recently again since we could not find any other place. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find the resurrected beach giving it a lot more space. The rooms are comfortable and with all the facilities...

Stayed here for 3 nights with my wife whilst travelling around the island. We picked it on the budget price as we were backpacking but were pleasantly surprised at how nice the room was. We had the non AC room on the 1st floor, it was spacious and comfortable with two twin beds and proper mozzy nets. The room was...

The room had sea views, good air con, and a large bathroom - it is exceedingly good value for money. Also, with the sea breeze it's in a good spot and the mozzies stay away - didn't get bitten here - but it did so soon as i left the area. The family who run the place are so friendly...

Rooms - we had a room with AC which worked great. It had 2 double beds which were really comfy with mosquitoe nets, no real wardrobes but there where hangers and a stand to hang clothes on and a cupboard with shelves, no tea & coffee facilities or fridge, a good size bathroom, clean but the furniture and decor is...

I already seven times now stayed at summer garden and I always felt like at home. The stuff is very friendly and carefull and Pryianka- the boss - makes everything possible and helps in any situation. Her laughter is so contagious! The rooms are well furnished and clean. The beds got new mattresses. Well, the main road is just in...

This was recommended to us by a tuk tuk driver who dropped us off here. It's on the main road, 10-15 mins walk from the "main drag" of Unawatuna which personally I felt was too touristy. This guesthouse however was just around the bay - and would have been quiet if it wasn't for the busy main road! (beeping horns...
