This was a great place to stay in Santa Elena/Monteverde. The rooms/bathrooms are outdated but clean so I can't complain! I stayed in a 4 bed private bath room. It was a bit small when it was full of 4 peoples backpacks, but did the job. There are lockers for your things just being your own lock. The staff was...

I fell in love with Santa Elena/Monteverde and partly due to the welcoming feel of Monteverde Backpackers. The location is perfect, a minute walk from the supermarket and town. The hostel is small and friendly and the staff really great, their friendliness and jokes really made it what it was, thank you Alonso and Emile (sorry I don't know if...

The rooms were very nice, clean, and easy to access. The gentleman at the front desk was so, so helpful in figuring out the lay of the land, and helping us navigate and book all there is to do around the area. Most of the activities available have a shuttle that will stop right at the hostel. Great place to...

We spend a month there! the location is great, just next to the supermarket. The staff was amazing, super helpful, always ready to play a game of cards with guests. The rooms are super quaint, the beds are so confortable and each dorm has its own bathroom. The kitchen is small but fully equipped. We payed 12$US/night. Breakfast (eggs, bread,...

The breakfast was eggs, bread, bananas, nutella and cereal. What more can you ask for?! The front desk guy was a great help booking trips and even did...

This was one of my favorite hostels in Costa Rica because of the other people who stayed there. There was such a mix of cultures and the living room there is perfect for meeting new people. It was such a fun place and the employees are very fun and welcoming as well. Strongly recommend!

This hostel was quiet and kind of empty when I was there (low season). But the staff was super helpful! They helped me figure out my plans, suggesting stuff to do, and when I decided to do a white water rafting that required I leave to San Jose a night earlier they gave me the money back for the night...

We stayed here for 1 night as there is not much to do in Monteverde besides the canopy tours. The guy at the front desk was very helpful and informative about the tours and town. There was a kitchen and a common area with couches and tv. We stayed in a 4 person dorm which was clean for the most...

I was in Monteverde to experiment the mountains of Costa Rica and to do Bungee Jump. I only spent a night in the hostel but it was a very lively night where all travelers get to get along very well. I had some cool conversations with the owner and wife and learn some things about Costa Rica. If I ever...
