Great value hotel! Near the supermarket and the town's main bar/nightclub/pool/restaurant hub (called Amigos). Staff is super friendly, and breakfast was a great surprise. Rooms are simple and small, but work fine.

Cabinas El Pueblo is a cozy little place owned by a nice, helpful family. It is a very basic hotel or perhaps hotel is the wrong word, higher end hostel. The accommodations are clean and adequate, not fancy. The grounds are lovely and the location cant be beat, just a hop into town but off of the main street. The...

Freddy the owner was absolutely amazing. He recommended climbing the Fig tree, showed us photos from when he did it and gave us directions. He also took the time to show us a sloth in a tree close to the hostel. It is clear that he takes pride in what he does. On our last night in Santa Elena I...

Convenient location, affordable, clean & spacious room and bathroom, yummy breakfast, great staff. Freddy was a huge help when my boyfriend left his wallet on the public bus. He went out of his way to help us recover it. He also made sure we saw the sloth in a tree right across the street and recommended a great night hike....

I stayed in a room with shared bathroom, and it was a good value for the price at $15usd. Pros: Includes hot breakfast, coffee, tea, bananas, wifi. Good price. Central location in the town of Santa Elena. Comfy beds. Cons: Still kind of loud, even though it's not on the main road. (Drunk people walking back to the Monkey Hostel...

This place is the best. The owners were really attentive and caring. When we got there, they took us across the street to show us a sloth that was in a tree over there. And when my husband lost his wallet in the road, they came out and asked what we were looking for and helped us look. They gave...

We really enjoyed our stay in Monteverde for two nights with Freddy. We are aged 23-24 and a couple and had read the reviews on here so decided to stay. We chose a double room with bathroom for $30 a night and had a lovely room. Freddy was so helpful! Only problem was that he only spoke Spanish which was...

We loved every moment of our three night stay at Cabinss El Pueblo. The owners are so kind and friendly. They grow their own coffee and sent us home with some! The breakfasts are filling and the staff is super considerate. Rooms are spacious, clean, and reasonably quiet - a bargain! Location is fantastic, near a super mercado, wonderful restaurants,...
