This is a B&B with various types of rooms and I booked the cheapest available. I had a single bed, a double bed and four hooks on the wall for hanging clothes, The toilet/basin area of the bathroom was cramped, no hot water in basin, but the shower was huge. It was very windy when I was there and there...

We loved our stay at Camino Verde. The staff are all amazing - friendly and professional. Starting our day with a basic breakfast was a very welcome treat, and the ladies serving the food were always very courteous and efficient. Enjoyed having a hang-out space with tea and coffee throughout the day. We had a deluxe private room, that was...

Enjoyed the stay here- very clean rooms, excellent dining area and very good food. Kitchen and Fridge were available for use. An inexpensive laundry service was available. They provided recommendations for tours etc., which was nice and convenient. Overall an excellent experience for the entire family. The only negative- we had a room in the basement, with no view...

Unfortunately we did not see Monteverde at its best as it was blowing a hooley and drizzling / raining the whole three days we were there (duh - it is a cloud forest!). Nevertheless, Camino Verde was a good (and popular) choice. The staff are knowledgeable and helpful; the decor and rooms tasteful; the views (when the mist clears!) are...

We stayed two nights with a lovely view of the mountains. There are five options for breakfast and tea and coffee available free all day. The staff are excellent and can help with tours if you haven't booked them.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We had just fished four days at a permaculture farm in Nicaragua, so I was very excited to have hot water. Jose was very helpful. He was even able to find the Packer game for us!! What great service, we were so excited. The rooms were really, really clean and comfortable. We were able...

I can highly recommend Camino Verde. We stayed 3 nights and the bedroom, decks, views, breakfast, tour arrangements, proximity to town...were all ideal. Andre and Erney are great hosts and they've done a super job creating comfort and ease at this spacious B&B.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Camino Verde B&B is a "Bed and Breakfast" style lodging opened in 2009 and located on the edge of Santa Elena. The B&B is laid out in the style of a family house and guests are encouraged to treat it as their home. The building was in fact once the owner's family home which gave inspiration to this 'Tica House' designed hotel. The B&B is situated a 5 minute walk from the town centre of Santa Elena, but is far enough away for it to be quiet and have more rural surroundings. This is the perfect option for those who crave the quiet side of the countryside but who require the amenities provided in a town. FACILITIES: Camino Verde B&B comprises private rooms which sleep 2 to 4 guests. Four of the rooms have shared bathroom facilities and the rest are en suite. ... more   less
