We were looking for a room in Santa Elena and Anthony was kind enough to acco, odate us on very short notice. The Mar Inn is full of rustic charm and the staff helped us book a night walking tour and hanging bridge tour, plus arranged for pick up from the B&B. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a...

This is a really nice place to stay. A little out of town and uphill but not far and quieter for that. Slightly more expensive than in the centre but much nicer and great views from the deck. Good breakfast and you can make hot drinks. Very clean and also laundry service available. Felix is very helpful with transfers etc...

We loved this place, we wanted a couple of quiet days before we hit the beach and that's exactly what we got. The place is only a 10 min walk to everything- uphill but the while area is uphill. It's a really tranquil place with a lovely view. Antony was very helpful with booking our tours and honest and not...

We enjoyed this hotel, near enough to the centre of Monteverde and with friendly, helpful staff and a good breakfast of freshly made pancakes or eggs, with fruit. Nice balcony to relax on and nice enough rooms. But we stayed in a room that backed off the hotel and the wind was very noisy and it was a bit chilly....

We planned to stay at Santa Elena for only one night. Eventually, it became three nights. Anthony is the owner of the B&B and was very helpfull telling us wich tours were nice to do and tried to make our stay as good as it could be. He even bought a birthday cake for my husband! The breakfast was great,...

Anthony runs the business very professional, he even sent a map and a pricelist of tours after booking. Of course you can book every tour, as in any other hostal, too. Breakfast is included and very good, it is done by Anthonys mum. Rooms are very clean, hot shower, two computers in the lobby area for free use. Takes credit...

Mar Inn is located about 400 meters from the center of Santa Elena. It is a small, family run hotel. The family who runs it is very friendly, the atmosphere is excellent, the rooms are clean, breakfast is good, and there is a great balcony with views all the way across Arenal lake , 1000 meters below. We stayed there...

Selected Mar Inn due to the great reviews, location and price. Our room was basic but very clean with all the necessities - including a safe which was a bonus at this price range and provides additional piece of mind. The location was great - close enough to town to avoid the need for taxis but far enough away to...

We stayed for just one night in early July. We were late arriving and the hosts were helpful in rescheduling a tour we had missed. The only down side was the rooms had a musty odor which could be a problem if someone had allergy to mold. Breakfast was very good.

We were with 2 adults and 3 kids and the room was stadions enough. Very clean, new bathroom and breakfast was delicious. Both Anthony and his family were very hands-on and helped us a lot during our stay. We extended our stay for another night and we felt like home. So this is a very recommandable stay if you want...
