The hotel is located on main road, but has beautiful views over the valley toward the Pacific Ocean – when not covered by clouds. Also cozy bar with a great view. No AC but not necessary at this altitude. Rooms have nice balconies with views, and sliding screen doors for ample ventilation. Unfortunately, not conducive to walking on nearby narrow... More

This was a nice place with great view of a Monteverde valley. We could look off our porch and see a horse or cow grazing in the valley. The hotel staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and had good suggestions about which area activities we may be interested in. One negative was the neighbor dogs that would bark at any time during... Very good hotel. Rooms lovely size, clean and great views from the balcony. Breakfasts were traditional Costa Rican but were set so not as good as others. Hummingbirds on balcony of restaurant and beautiful views. No swimming pool but still a good hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. It is a very nice hotel located at the top of a very steep hill about a 15 -20 minute walk from the center of town. Very clean spacious rooms with a lovely balcony and screened doors. It had very comfortable beds and beautiful bathrooms. The breakfast, which was included in... More

I would say this place is a pretty solid 3 star hotel. Don't go into it expecting luxury and you probably won't be let down. The rooms are gigantic. Plenty of counter space for your stuff, large open space, very tall ceilings, large bathroom/shower. It was very spacious and nice inside the rooms. The view from the balconies is also... More

I can deal with a crappy hotel, but what I cant deal with is when a place lies and gives you far less than what you supposedly paid for. Here's a list of things that they advertise but absolutely do NOT have: jacuzzi, sauna, room service, WIFI (I dont think it counts to say you have WIFI in a $100... More

This hotel is clean and up the road from Santa Elena for a nice view of Arenal lake. However construction outside our room for last two days with dogs barking has been less than peaceful. The hotel is pretty basic and there is no coffee maker in the room. Fortunately the weather is the perfect temperature, which is good, since... More

We booked this hotel through Bookings for two nights, but something went wrong with our reservation and we only had a room reserved for one night. Thankfully the guy at the front desk was able to arrange alternate (and awesome) accommodations very quickly! The room was nice and spacious, with a patio overlooking the mountainside. There were flowers near the... More

Exquisite hotel. The rooms are huge and all have a view. We had a king size be and a Jacuzzi. It is located in a beautiful valley, and you can walk as much as you want. Breakfast and dinner were very good. Everybody was very friendly.I loved Tito the dog, also very friendly.. It has wifi only on the lobby.

My family and I stayed in this hotel back in 2012, and enjoyed it immensely. (I should have left this review 3 1/2 years ago.) Staff was very friendly and courteous. I was stunned by the breakfast the first morning (our group of 6, plus one other small group of guests were the only ones in the hotel on June... More
