This hotel is a lovely place to stay in Monteverde. Hosts are very friendly and rooms are clean and nicely decorated. On arrival we were greeted by Capuchin monkeys and were able to feed them by hand :) the owners feed them regularly so they often visit. Breakfast was really good... Fresh fruit and omelettes etc. Hotel is opposite a...

We really liked this hotel. We stayed in one of the renovated rooms that seemed brand-new! They were clean and spacious. The only downsides were that it was VERY windy and the hotel's location on the edge of town made it somewhat noisy. Additionally, the breakfast was nothing special (good fruit and coffee but they had white toast and limited...

Las Orquideas is on the road to the reserves, just before the 2 sections that make up Santa Elenas. There are some good reasons to stay here: the creatures at breakfast in the morning; the helpful front desk; the view to the valley. As forewarned, noise is another thing with the proximity of a main road, but in our case...

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with other TripAdvisor users! Also, thank you for the advice on buffering the sound from the bathroom, we'll look into that. Yes, in Monteverde this time of the year, although there are no rains, there are high winds... and in the months there is no wind, there are buckets of rain... that's...

We all know that a great owner and host keeps a low profile but is always available when you really need their assistance. Experienced owner Nidia fits the bill on both accounts and will help with any needs or requirements you have during your stay. That allows you to get on and enjoy your holiday! The hotel has a friendly...

There is nothing that any business owner can strive for than a satisfied customer. I'm sure I speak on behalf of my mother when I say that reviews and opinions such as yours are what keeps a hotel owner going. We're happy you enjoyed your stay with us and hopefully we'll see you again!

We stayed here for a couple nights with our children 6&8. This hotel is a bit more like a guest house. It encourages guest to interact with one and other and Naidia the owner is so lovely. I really can't say enough kind words about her. The hotel is very central, short drives to hikes, zip lining, cloud forest, and...

We couldn't be happier that you enjoyed what we have to offer to our guests. Our main goal is to truly try to make all our guests feel like they are with friends and family during their stay in Monteverde.

This is place was very conveniently located in the cloud forest. They have parking available but the walk into town is easy. The place is spotlessly clean. Our room was small but totally self contained. It was in the main lodge. They also have newly built rooms, family rooms and wheelchair accessible rooms on the site. Breakfast is included. We...

We arrived to the hotel at 19:30 and although the owner (Nidia) was off at 20:00, she was so friendly and helped us get settled in our room. We only allocated 2 nights and 2 days in Monteverde, and had limited time to do all the activities. Nidia provided a lot of information on all activities and tours (reviews, times...

We were nicely surprised to find we had booked a nice 1 bedroom place with twin/full bunk beds instead of traditional hotel room. The place was clean and nice and the owner was especially helpful and friendly. They are native Costa Ricans who who lived in Mississippi for 25 years prior to returning home. They have a patio with a...

The hotel is small, so it feels cozy and comfortable, and the owner is very nice and knowledgeable about what to see and do in the area. There are two major bonus points: the morning visit by monkeys and a coati; and the stunning views to be found in the "backyard". The white face capuchins are fun and cute to...

This nice place had all you need for a accomodation in Sants Elena; friendly and informative hostess, Nidia, clean rooms, great breakfast, including friendly monkeys, hot water in the shower, great parking space and comfy beds. What more to ask for? Nothing, it's great.
