We spent three wonderful days at Las Orquideas. The rooms are large, immaculate and pleasant. The breakfasts are delicious! The hospitality is AMAZING. We thoroughly enjoyed the owner's dining and local attraction recommendations, as well as her efficient assistance in helping us arrange tours and transportation. This experience was the highlight of our trip to Costa Rica!

This was exactly the type of place I was looking to stay at. Very homey, incredibly nice staff, & gorgeous view off of the balcony including animals that would come right up to you and you could feed. Very much enjoyed this B&B.

I would call this a B&B rather than a hotel. It has 4 or 5 rooms opening directly onto a breakfast area, kitchen and check-in desk. Our room was small and ‘rustic’ with no frills – a double bed and just enough room to walk around it. The room was clean and the shower was hot with good water pressure....

This was our second stay at Las Orquideas. The experience was every bit as good as our first great stay. The clean, quiet hotel is really more of a bed and breakfast, as Nidea and her husband live on site. Nidea is a treasure trove of information about local sights, tours, guides, etc. Rooms have updated, clean private bathrooms. It's...

The rooms and grounds are really nice and exotic. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Rooms include a bar fridge and TV. The grounds are quite scenic and include a pool and jaccuzi. The only negative experience I had here was finding a cockroach running across my pillow. The wifi connection was also not showing up on my phone in...

Good morning! After reading your review I must ask if you haven't confused our hotel, Las Orquideas in Monteverde with another establishment. The main reason that I ask this is that you mention we offer a pool and jacuzzi and that the rooms all have TVs... all 3 of these statements are false! We do not have a pool, nor...

Stayed here in Nov 2014. We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were comfy and breakfast very filling. The daily visits from the coati's and monkeys were amusing to watch from the kitchen area. Good value while in the area. Nidia was very helpful with local information and history.

We had a great stay at Hotel Las Orquideas. Nidea, the owner lives in the hotel and is warm and extremely helpful. She booked us many different tours, including zip lining! The breakfasts at the hotel are delicious and the rooms are large and comfortable. We will look forward to staying with Nidia again when we return to visit the...

This was the best hotel experience of my trip to Costa Rica. Nidia was very helpful in planning our activities during the 3 days my husband and I were in the Monteverde area. She booked several tours for us, and even changed our reservations when we were delayed in arriving due to weather. A hearty breakfast is included, with a...

Management: 5/5 Nidia is great! We had to cancel two of our three days last minute due to an illness and she was very accommodating. She even refunded the days, even though it was last minute. She was very nice when we did check in. She also helped us book some things while we were here and seemed very willing...

The rooms were basic, breakfast ok, standard one, not far from restaurants and shops in case you have no car. - very thin walls so you can hear neighbor conversations. Rooms are close to lobby area so you can hear all the noise from kitchen, reception or breakfast area. I wouldn't recomand this hotel to those looking to sleep well...
