After a frightful drive up the unpaved road for 38km, meeting coaches overtaking herds of cows, we found the lodge. Christian made us very welcome on arrival, telling us what was in the area, where was best to visit, recommended restaurants and general information on the forests and also arranged a guide for us. We had a cabin on the...

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was fantastic. We were originally put into a room that was not like the pictures had suggested on booking.com (quite dated) so we enquired and were quickly moved to a much better lodge - The Cabin which was great. The room had everything we needed - was clean and spacious and had...

We stayed in the mountain view standard king room. Our room, while not fancy, was adequate..good value for the low cost. There was a fridge, microwave, a few dishes and fresh coffee and a coffee maker. The bathroom was small but again adequate. There are two huge assets to this lovely place. First..sitting out on our terrace right at the...

We stayed at the Rainbow Valley Lodge for three nights in early April 2017 and were so impressed by the owners, accommodations and location. Christian and Hazel are the consummate hosts. All of our early questions were quickly answered and our request for the Mountain View Suite honoured. Upon our arrival (we were two hours early), we quickly checked in...

We stayed in the cabin (number 5) and loved it. It's based at the top of the property with parking right next to the cabin. Whilst it's not far from a main (unpaved (noisy)) road, there's no traffic at night so you're not disturbed. Christian was always at hand or not far away and he was very courteous and helpful....

This was a lovely place to stay and really reasonably priced. Christian the owner was very friendly and the house was good with a well equipped kitchen. It would have been good to have a fan as it got rather hot with young kids during the day but most people would be out all day so wouldn't matter. Christian also...

We stayed at Rainbow Valley Lodge for two nights. We stayed in the Family Room which contained two bedrooms, each with a queen-sized bed and then an area with two twin beds. As well, there were two bathrooms. The place was spotless and the view, to die for. Christian was fantastic. He can help you with anything you need, from...

Christian, the owner, was very kind to make a special accommodation for us when we called to inquire upon availability with one night's notice. Luckily, he was flexible and we ended up getting the best room (our opinion, and we didn't even see the other options in person, this one was just that good!). We absolutely loved the uninterrupted view...

Great value for money! The cabin where we stayed was fully renovated with fresh bathroom, big shower and small kitchenette. It displayed beautiful view over The Valley. Despite the big windows you have a good privacy. Christian was also very friendly.
