Detailed Reviews
Good location, copious breakfast, friendly staff but, considering COVID, poor hygiene in the bedroom - finger marks and squashed insects on the glass of the door leading to the balcony. When we asked the cleaner to do something about it, she said it was not her job and that the glass was only cleaned once every 2 months (!!!) by an outside company. Not good enough. Also, one person visibly on duty at breakfast was not enough for the numbers, especially since there was a sports team devouring everything in sight. Finally, there was no one on duty at the pool each time I went so rules were not respected - some men wore shorts, some people were on their mobile phones, etc., etc.

The hotel is located behind electronic gates for vehicles and thick hedges for pedestrians approached through a pleasent garden and paved terrace to a building that has the appearance of a 1960s block of flats. Receptionist very pleasant and helpful with good English. Room overlooking the car park and another block of flats. The room was small, the bed large, it had a nice balcony but no outdoor furniture which was disappointing. The bathroom was very small, the sink was so close to the shower entrance it made getting in and out difficult. Pleasant walk into the village and a well paved, well lit promenade alongside the etang, but uphill climb back. Probably wouldnt stay in this hotel again as the room was too small and basic.

We stayed one night as we were just passing through on the way to Spain. We stay in Ibis hotels a lot and you always know what you are going to get, a decent, clean room, comfy bed & a good breakfast. Not so in this case. This is not a standard Ibis, it looks like its been converted from something else, another hotel or maybe an apartment block. As a consequence, we had the tiniest Ibis room I have ever seen and the tiniest bathroom. As an example, I had to move the folding luggage rack & the chairs and table just so that we could move around the bed and so that I had a one metre space to place my dogs bed. NOT what I would expect from Ibis. In fact, as a gold member, I would have expected an upgrade to a better room but obviously this did not happen.
On the plus side, staff were friendly, I got my welcome drink without having to ask for it and the food in the restaurant was OK. Pets allowed for a small charge
On the minus side, the tiny room as mentioned above, the car park surface needs attention it being rutted and old, hotel is a bit difficult to find but the satnav sorted that out.
Hotel has a pool and spa that we didnt use as only there the one night.
Would I stay again, probably not.

Just outside Bakaruc town but easily walkable. Breakfast a bit expensive but dinner restaurant OK. Heated pool good but a bit shabby. Hammam and sauna next to the pool. Rooms clean and functional. Reception helpful.

The hotel is located in a quite area near Balaruc Les Bains, approx 7 km from the center of Sète. Private parking is available. We got dinner the first night and the food was good and not expensive. The guys at reception were nice and they offered a welcome drink because of our 'accorhotels' member card. Swimming pool is available for guests but we didn't use it. The price paid for the room was higher than the usual standard Ibis but did not notice much difference to justify it.

We have been staying at this hotel for many years and return once or twice a year. The experience each time has been excellent. The hotel is in a quiet 'out of the way' place but near enough to walk into Baleruc. We always have a car though!
The staff many working there each year are really great, we are greeted in a wonderful friendly way by all. The reception, restaurant staff and manageress are super. Even the hotel cat greets us each year!
Although the rooms are basic, there are always spotlessly clean and tidy. The top 3rd floor none smoking are the best with a covered balcony. Very competitive pricing, closed car park and a good breakfast inside or outdoors is good.
The real bonus for this budget hotel is the free covered swimming pool and the health spa, but there are no running or rowing machines. There are some really excellent restaurants nearby, all providing great French food. The hotel is very acceptable but the La Guingette is the best of the bunch.

The Hotel is well situated, the staff were excellent and the hotel in general was clean, but it's tired, in need of a revamp, a lick of paint. The menu is limited but the food was good, well prepared, in general a good overnight stay

I stayed here 1 night during a business trip. I arrived late so I couldn't see much of the hotel and I went straight to my room. The room was quite small and I think the walls are very thin because I could hear everything from the guest next to me. The shower is also very narrow. Breakfast was ok. Location is very good because you can see the sea from the hotel.

The reception manager was offensively impolite and truly unprofessional. I have sent an email to the customer service and am yet to receive any reply...
The beds are not very comfortable and the towels stink detergent.
My wife is Asian and felt generally not welcome

Ibis as always was excellent. Staff, accomodation and location all excellent
I wish there was better TV, an English channel would be nice.
Unfortunately, I was eating my dinner on the terrace when the chair collapsed under me severely injuring my back and forcing me to return to UK earlier than planned. I am disabled with Spondulitis and recent open heart surgery. This has made it worse.
