We really enjoyed our stay by the beach at this hotel. No five star luxury, but a very cosy and enjoyable. Well cleaned, everything worked well including the wifi. Wonderful views and perfect location enjoying the beach. Pool was really nice too and a true bonus on a windy day. Nice and very friendly and helpful staff. Look forward to...

We stayed here for 4 nights. Excellent location right on the beachfront. Room was clean and functional. But no more than that. This is one of only a few hotels with beachfront access and the owners don't need to do more than the minimum to attract customers, so they don't. The tone of the notice warning against putting paper in...

Perfect place with a perfect location. We spent ten days in Villa Marise (June 2016), and for us everything worked like charm. The location is perfect, to the "centre" of the city there's about 500m, food store what the locals use is in 200m, ATM 300m, bike/car rental just across the road (15m) etc.. And the beach bar.. If you...

The Europa Studios, where I have stayed is a very old building in a good location, but with minimum service quality and totally not good cleaning service. The room, was very dirty, with 3-4 spiders inside the rooms, killed mosquitoes on the walls and on the mosquitoes net on top of the master bedroom. No shower curtain, so you can...

We stayed four nights in Villa Europa in an upstairs room overlooking the beach, which we used every day. For us it was one of the real highlights of our three weeks in Crete. Anna was a gracious host and very helpful with suggestions for day trips. The room was clean and very functional and everything, including aircon and hot...

We stayed in Europa 2. The room was a good size and clean, balcony overlooking the beach. Fridge in room and air con. Initial problem with the shower was quickly sorted. Shame that the shower does not have a screen or curtain as the floor floods and the 'drain' does not work efficiently as it is not lower than the...

Beautiful place right on the sandy beach, public area shaded by pine trees, clean well-kept rooms (nice and cool in the summer). Rolling out of bed and jumping in the sea - nothing quite beats it! Lovely hospitality too, and a decent breakfast included. 5 mins walk from the beautiful town.

We stayed in Villa Europa for 4 nights (and extended to 5) in a lovely sea view room. Nice big balcony overlooking the beach. The breakfast available at the beach bar a short distance along the beach was excellent value. The lively centre of town is a short walk away while the Villa is delightfully peaceful. Anna, the host, is...

After much searching for a place on the beach with some nightlife not too far away we found Europa studios. The last building on the eastern seaboard , so a little out of town so not noisy at night. Beach is 100 m wide at this point and heavy sand , so when the wind picks up its not a...

Very well priced for a family of four. Great indoor outdoor flow: a little path leads to the beach from each room. The pool was really useful for a midnight cooling dip, especially useful for us as we were in paleochora during a heatwave. The bathroom needs improvement, and they dont take credit cards, despite the capital controls imposed in...
