This was our second time coming to Trim as it is a great stop off location before flying out from Dublin.
When we arrived we were greeted by the owner who showed us to our room and gave us great advice on dining and things...More
This is a spectacular bed and breakfast. Location cannot be beat, right across the street from the Castle and a short walking distance to the center of town. The house and grounds are both distinctive and lovely, impeccably kept, with easy and ample private parking....More
We chose this B & B because of its proximity to the Dublin Airport for our first day (ever) in Ireland. We were surprised at the interesting town and charm of the guesthouse. The owner, Eddie, took time to orient us to the town, the...More

I can only answer first question. We drove from Trim to airport and even though everyone said it took 35 minutes it took us more than an hour. We left at 8:15 AM and we thought there must be a horrible accident because traffic came to a complete standstill for 15 minutes. We never saw an accident but it was horribly congested and the worst traffic I've seen--and we live in a heavily congested area.
And you didn't ask, but FYI, returning to US, plan extra time at Dublin airport since you go through US customs in Ireland and it's long and thorough.
