We could not have been happier with our stay at Villa Cafaggio! My partner and I stayed with our immediate families (14 adults) and there was plenty of room! The separate apartments allowed each couple to have the space they need while still having wonderfully large gathering areas outside and in. The apartments were clean and stocked with basic cookware. We had an intimate wedding ceremony overlooking the gorgeous Tuscan hills and could not have picked a more perfect place! Matteo, Oana, and the other staff persons at the villa went above and beyond to meet every need of our party and set up beautiful lights and decorations. We also arranged a catered wedding dinner through Matteo and it was delicious with numerous courses and flowing with wine. We were so glad to book breakfast for our party, which was delightful meats and cheeses and pastries and the coffee needed to start the day. There was a well stocked grocery store within 15 minutes and numerous restaurants to choose from nearby. It felt perfectly secluded, but very accessible. We all can’t wait for the opportunity to return to their lovely oasis!

Great retreat in the Tuscan Le Balze area. Small idyllic villages and towns nearby. In a suitable distance for visiting bigger cities, too, like Arezzo or Florence (rather take a train to the latter one). Pool was great 👍. We had an apartment in two floors, beds and a bathroom upstairs and the living room and kitchen with a bathroom downstairs. The downstairs bathroom was somewhat cold and moist (a bit cellarish), I recommend taking showers upstairs. From uphill you can see the beautiful valleys and Le Balze rock formations downhill. Good breakfast consisting of local cheese and ham, yogurt, bread, jam, fruits, berries, juice, cereal, baked goods and cappuccino. The lady (and sometimes her companion) serving the breakfast were very friendly, hospitable and taking account all our needs and giving us tips and information about the local sights. The location can be found in maps but our two navigation apps (Here and Maps.me) couldn’t locate the right driveway and we first mistakenly drove steep uphill to some Italian gentleman’s front door.

This place is simply beautiful. We found it last year and came back againg. Everything was perfect. The apartments are well-equipped, clean and in typical tuscan style. Matteo was perfect attantive host, very kind and always at hande, prepared home-made pizza for us and our friends, helped us with bistecca fiorentina. The grill/barbecue behind the house is excellent. You can be outside and enjow the view and tuscan beautiful nature. The swimming pool is also perfect, for children, for adults, for everybody. You can enjoy your stay in hot days as well. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet place in the middle of Tuscany. You will feel like in paradise and you will want to stay forever. BTW, if you need wifi, it works excellent. So many thanks to Matteo, his father and Bruno. GRAZIE!
