The villa is absolutely lovely, the staff most pleasantly accommodating, the cappuccinos were spot on, the view is stunning (if you have one) but beware of the room you are assigned. I was part of a group of 16 women traveling together and I was assigned what became known as the "jail cell." The room is at the very top of the villa, with a view of a rock covered tin roof, a tiny walk-in shower and a bed made of stone. The food was beyond fantastic when chef Francesca cooked and adequate when others cooked dinner. Breakfast was a hit and miss, I asked for bacon each morning and received it two of six mornings. The location is remote and if you do not have a car, there is little to do if you are an action-oriented traveler. It was not a question of money as I likely paid the most of any one of the group. Most of the rooms are beautiful and large but beware and ask especially if you are in a group.…
We stayed for 6 nights at the wonderful Villa Belpoggio. Our room was lovely, with views across the front garden to the valley. The room was well appointed (although the bed was a bit hard), tastefully decorated and clean. The main receptionist was very helpful, giving advice on trips and restaurants etc. We ate at the restaurant most nights and its was well worth the 35 euros a head for what appeared to be genuine Tuscan food. The chef was very obliging and varied the menu to avoid our various dislikes. This is a lovely relaxing hotel where the staff do everything they can to help you settle in to the venue.
Stayed for only 2 nights but wish we could’ve stayed longer at this charming villa! The rooms are large and well appointed in a rustic style, the breakfast is simple yet tasty (eggs are chargeable, unfortunately), the staff/owners are very friendly and helpful. The main draw is the stunning vista over the Tuscan valley, which can be seen from the front lawn.
Breakfast was great. Location was easy for us to get to Assis, Arezzo, etc. with the help of Agnes we had great restaurants and were able to navigate the area easily. Very good place. Would be a great place for reunions
Stayed here for 7 nights w a group. It’s a lovely property with enchanting gardens. The staff and the meals are really what sets it apart. Agnes and Paola really take care of you and chef Max cooked some marvelous meals. We were spoiled! It’s a bit far from the towns you’ll want to visit but the views and quiet are worth it. And say hi to Mia the villa pup.
