In the heart of Tuscany, in panoramic hilly position Villa Casaforte stands as splendid example of Leopold building with two side towers and a double row of arches in the middle. The house, dating back to the mid of eighteenth century, has undergone several modifications till the important work of restoration in 2008, which returned to the entire complex the original beauty.

We spent 10 nights at Villa Casaforte in the Ginestra apartment we were two couples sharing. The accommodation and setting is spectacular – the renovation and furnishing of this beautiful building has been accomplished to a very high standard of quality, tradition (including ironwork by a local-artisan) and comfort. The apartment was very spacious for four adults, we were very comfortable and it was a great bonus to have air conditioning. The pool is beautiful and a good size to allow for a proper swim. There are fabulous views from the house and it is well located for trips to Arezzo, Siena and Montepulciano. Our days spent at the property were peaceful and relaxing. There is an enormous Coop in Monrevarci with a superb selection of food we also visited the local Farmers Market - the Mercato Copeto (Mon – Sat) where we found delicious local produce. Lucia, who takes care of the guests and lives on site could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Although Lucia does not speak much English she communicates very efficiently using a combination of Google Translate and Whatsapp – this works exceptionally well. We have visited Italy many times, but this was a first visit for one in our group and we couldn’t have chosen better for that experience.

Beautiful villa with spectacular view of the Arezzo region. The standalone suite was very comfortable and clean. Very well kept and updated. The pool was perfectly warm and a nice size. Hostess was very friendly and warm. Not much English but authentic. Nice and quiet and a great location to tour around Tuscany. Very happy. It felt like home. We will be back.

We had an amazing 2 weeks at Casaforte. The apartment was clean and pretty, the pool area great but best of all was the view from the front porch over the Tuscan hills, just sitting there either for breakfast or dinner and looking out is worth coming here. It is so nice and quiet, a little far removed from amenities so you always have to drive everywhere, that could be a downside, and Florence and Siena turned out to be quite a lot further away than advertised (on the website we booked from anyway). But the bottom line is: go here, it's fantastic!

We stayed 5 days enjoying in this unique emplacement with our two daughters and we cannot imagine a more bucolic and comfortable place to rest during our trip in Toscana. The kindness of the owners, the furniture, the decoration of the apartment, fully equipped... Everything in this Villa is better than in the pictures. Not to be missed!!!

The property of Villa Casaforte is located around 4km from the small village Loro Ciuffena, conveniently to reach via the motorway from Montevarchi (where big supermarkets are available for grocery shopping). Major sightseeing for Tuskany / Chianti is well within reach. It is a property on its own, very quiet and peaceful and consists of the villa, a wonderful garden with a pool in a scenic setting, and three separate smaller buildings, one host a beautiful modern sauna and Jacuzzi, which can be rented for a fee of 25€/hour, and the two other little cottages are rented out as vacation flats as well. The villa itself is separated into four flats, however, one hardly is noticing other parties as all have separate entrances to their flats and separate, private space outside their respective flat for sitting there on warm summer evenings. The villa was recently renovated and the result is a very high quality, almost luxury building in Tuskany style with very high profile apartment flats. We stayed in Mirto apartment, which has two nicely furnitured bed rooms and a combined kitchen / living room area with a big TV screen (mostly only local channels…which does not matter anyhow, as there is no reason for watching TV), a fairly well equipped kitchen, only the table is a bit small, one can extend it though, but the result is a bit unstable, however manageable. The bathroom is not very big, but also very nicely renovated with a nice, big shower area. Our outside place to sit was a big table in the villa hall, with a fantastic view. On a warm summer evening, enjoying a good glass of local wine and overlooking the charming hills of Tuscany from that place is very relaxing. The place is looked after by Lucia, the landlady, who is a very nice and helpful person and there whenever needed, otherwise hardly to notice around. She made us feel welcome and helped with all practical issues. We had a very pleasant vacation at Villa Casaforte, the place itself & the flat & the pool were all of high quality made and very clean. The atmosphere of the place is fantastic and the location stunning. We hope to come back on a later vacation
