If I could give Cretaiole 10 stars I would. This was a marvelous stay for our family. Isabella was kind enough to open earlier than usual this spring to accommodate our large family. We stayed there the first full week of March, and although it was a little chilly sometimes, and the trees didn't quite have all their leaves yet,...

This was our first Tuscan experience, and our stay at Cretaiole proved to be a once in a lifetime experience! We found this jewel from Rick Steves, and it lived up to expectations and more! Most notable is the attention and passion you receive - the hospitality, and the lay of land - from Isabella, Carlo, Carlotta, and Luciano -...

Our family (2 adults, 3 young children) stayed at Cretaiole over the Thanksgiving holiday. We had a wonderful time! Isabella, Carlo, Carlotta and the rest of the family were so lovely. Isabella put together a wonderful package of activities and meals which we mixed into our week in Tuscany. From a pasta making class, an Italian Thanksgiving feast, a farm...

My family of seven (including four college kids, an 83 yr old and two 50 yr olds) spent Thanksgiving week at Cretaiole and had a wonderful time. I had planned to stay here during a summer trip several years ago but ended up changing plans and going to Umbria. I could not get the idea of visiting Cretaiole out of...

Firstly a great thank you to Isabella for accommodating us although they were scheduled to close. We stayed here for 3 nights and had the best stay. The place was lovely where every corner we turned to looked like out of a postcard. There were so many drives, routes recommended from the Agritourismo that we were spoilt for choice. All...

Cretaiole! I can't recommend this place enough! Our rather large group had a wonderful time staying at Cretaiole recently. The property is lovely and very serene with the olive trees and vineyards. As there was a large number of us, we were able to check out each other's accommodations and they were all great way in their own ways. I...

I think pictures speak a thousand words so I'll post some because this was by far the most ideal accommodation we could ever have hoped for. Family oriented, we enjoyed meeting Isabella, Carlo, Luciano and Carlotta who made our stay special in so many ways. From wine tasting, olive oil tasting, pici pasta making with a Tuscan style feast afterwards...

I believe that translates to we were blessed. To stay at Cretaiole, to meet Isabella, Carlotta, Carlo and Luciano, to see the Tuscan fields, hills and countryside and to have the sense to listen to the family about what to see and what to do. Others have correctly described the numerous and incredible details that make this such a special...

I absolutely loved Cretaiole!! Our hosts Isabella, Carlos, Luciano & Carlotta were so friendly & helpful! Their generosity & diverse interests made our trip pleasant & most interesting. We felt @ home in Cretaiole, loved Pienza & the Val D Orcia! At one stage Deb & I were talking about moving to Tuscany after we discovered the beautiful countryside &...

Wow! Loved our stay at the Cretaiole. The Moricciani family are terrific welcoming hosts, have extensive regional and cultural knowledge, and plenty of information and activities available for the traveller. Set in a beautiful rural area, with outstanding views from the property . The accomodation and facilities were great, the location very convenient for day trips by car, and lots...
