We are just finishing a wonderful 5 day stay at La Bandita. This cozy place sits on a lovely hilltop in the middle of the countryside, an hour south of Siena. The rooms are beautiful, the views are amazing, the food is delicious and the staff is incredibly friendly and very efficient. And if that is not enough to make...

This place is off the beaten path, so if you need constant stimulation, it may for you...But it is a gorgeous setting & a fabulous place to stay. The owner and the staff have tons of information on the best way to explore Tuscany. It is remote (dirt roads--your GPS won't work here, but the owner can send you excellent...

The trip down the bumpy dirt road leading to La Bandita is well worth it. The villa sits on a hilltop from which you have a beautiful panoramic view of rolling hills, farms and distant villages. We visited in the colder month of February, but the hospitable staff lit a cozy fire for us inside and gave us wonderful recommendations...

La Bandita is most beautifully situated ... on top of one of Tuscany's famous rolling hills, overlooking what appears to be a landscape painting of amazing proportion, color and texture. The curvey drive up the gravel road is well worth the additional 10 minutes of traveling. John and his staff are warm, accomodating and gracious. We were guided to perfect...

We had such a lovely time at La Bandita! My husband and I were traveling a bit with my in-laws and were so weary of the tourist stuff and average food. John's place is a real gem, and not to be missed--we hope to return very soon! The pictures on their website (you can also see more on their facebook...

We were married at La Bandita in June (this review is very much overdue!) and cannot speak more highly of our experience. Being based in Australia & having never been to the region before, we took a bit of a risk by planning our entire wedding and one week stay for ourselves & respective families at La Bandita over the...

We booked in to La Bandita for a 5 night stay in their stand-alone unit, the Pig Sty. We had wanted to visit La Bandita for a while having read the rave reviews on Trip Advisor and in the press. On arrival, we were greeted by the very friendly Paulo who took us in the main house. Downstairs is a...

My wife and I just spent several nights at La Bandita, staying in the converted Pig Sty. John and his team have created something extraordinary, blending the best unaffected and genuine hospitality with a stunning building in a pretty much perfect location. Enjoy chef David's great company and superb meals, and don't miss a dinner or two at La Porta...

We just returned from a month long trip to Italy and our 6 nights at La Bandita were the absolute highlight of our trip! Even before we left for our trip, their assistance and graciousness was evident! They assisted us in renting a car for this part of our journey, made recommendations about the best way to travel to them...
